    Your stay at this property can be awesome or hellish depending on who's at the front desk. Our first impression at the check in was great. We were greeted by Terivia who was kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the remainder of our stay was not as pleasant.We encountered several problems with the room, which is understandable. However, what was NOT understandable and unacceptable was the rudeness of the front desk attendant, Kawaina. Every time we had a problem and I tried to talk to her about it, she would interrupt me and was completely dismissive. What was even more disturbing was that her attitude would completely change when my husband, a white man, was standing next to me, and when a white woman approached her. As a POC, it's sad that she perpetuates such bigotry towards other POCs, and more importantly, as a worldwide organization, I’m disappointed that Marriott allows such discriminatory treatment of guests.

    Fire alarms going off, hidden fees & rude staff.

    Fire alarms started blaring loudly at around 4am in the rooms and throughout the building. This chaotic, stressful event went on until about 5am. There were no employees to assist in the lobby and front desk area during this situation for a good 20 minutes until one unhelpful, incompetent, rude man shows up. Then a woman employee pulls up in her car to assist but still no true help at all. The alarms stopped for a few min so now they're both saying to all of us that its ok to go back to the rooms yet no explanation of what's going on. Well, the alarms start sounding again LOUDLY and a guest not the staff ends up calling the fire department to assess the situation to make sure we are safe to be there after this. The fire department shows up fairly quickly and handles the situation finally. Things happen sometimes in life but the lack of courtesy from the staff and respect was unacceptable. Then add on the constant smell of weed in the hallways and rooms, dishonesty from the front desk about parking charges and then overcharging my card, a female employee cursing loudly at people in the lobby in front of guests, the broken parking gate and fire alarm event were too much though. Will never stay at a Marriott hotel or spend a dime at their affiliates after this nightmare of a stay. Never again!

    Threatened by the GM of this hotel

    Have you ever been threatened by Marriott? I never thought this would happen at a hotel but the GM of this hotel threatened me that he will cancel my reservation and ban me from all Marriott.I came in the hotel around noon. Nobody at the front desk. I waited for maybe 25 minutes, nobody came out. During the waiting I tried to find a bell but failed. So I asked loudly "is anyone here?", no answer. I think after some more time, a staff came out. But before I was able to talk with him, he went back. And still no response. I had an very urgent issue to deal with, so I really need to store my baggage and leave. So I called Marriott customer service. I told the customer service associate everything. After about 30 minutes, customer service told me there was and has told the front desk to help me. During the waiting time and this phone call, I stood near the front desk, so that as soon they come out, I could ask the front desk for help. The front desk staff did come out maybe 2 times, but they came back immediately so that I couldn't even talk with them. After about 1 hour, I was finally able to talk with a tall man in green t-shirt, who claims to be the GM of this hotel. The customer service told me I could check with the front desk staff if an early check in is available and also said she has told the hotel to give me some points as a compensation for the 1 hour waiting. So I told the GM man about this. The GM man turned very angry, he said I was aggressive. But I was just repeating what the customer service told me. I don't want him to feel bad so I said, it's ok not to give me compensation, just help me store the baggage. Yet he refused, he said I was too impolite. Then I said "It's okay you don't serve me, but I have the right to rate this hotel a bad score.". Then the GM man said he will ban me access from any Marriott and close my account and cancel my stay. I was threatened by Marriott! He said these while holding my bag with precious items in it, and he's a very tall man. I worry if he would beat me or pull a gun out or crash my bag.

    Worst Courtyard stay of my life!

    The only thing good about this hotel was the location! Although the iron was replaced, the one in the room was broken. The shower head came off while trying to shower which left us without a shower to head back home. I notified the front desk and was told that I should have told them because there were spot of availability for other rooms, as if I was supposed to know that on a weekend. What an inconvenience….This property gave Motel 6 vibes with a 3 star rating.. if that! Don’t waste your time or money here! The morning front desk staff was rude!

    Front desk manager BEYOND RUDE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. Answer phone does not state name at all. Please FIRE HER!!!! MS. POTS SHE CLAIMS. I have never had this type of treatment from a manager when I am a manager. She doesn’t deserve to be a Marriott employee.
