    Disappointing Stay With Cleanliness and Maintenance Problems

    My stay was disappointing due to multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues throughout the hotel. The room had mold, rust in the bathroom, dusty outdated furniture, and wet carpet that made the room feel uncomfortable and unclean. The conditions also triggered my allergies. The internet was very slow, and the TV setup was confusing because it required multiple remotes just to watch cable.The pool area was dirty and still had debris left behind the next morning. The breakfast quality was poor, and I did not see the expected snack or mini mart area available. In addition, the exit door near my room did not work properly, so I constantly had to walk through the lobby to get back to my room.Outside, the grass was overgrown and the property looked poorly maintained overall. I did not report the issues during my stay because I was already tired and just wanted to rest. Overall, the hotel needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, amenities, and guest comfort.     Not Awful…Could Be Better

    The staff here is very welcoming and gracious. For its obvious age, the interior and rooms are well maintained. Some slight technical upgrades (e.g., USB ports, better WiFi) would make this a better budget option for business travelers. The WiFi was truly abysmal (see attached photo of a speed test I did), making it nearly impossible for me to get any work done in the evening. Other downers included a broken drink machine and broken ice maker. Although not the hotel operator’s fault, the ongoing construction on 146 makes this location a bit of a challenge to access, especially when arriving from the north. Finally, it was really weird (and maybe a bit irritating?) that I took the time to complete the whole online check in process (which is actually a cool option) only to arrive and have to do all the steps again in person.     Smelly moldy smell and negative customer service

    I’m in the hospitality industry and left very disappointed and uneasy about my experience. Room smelled moldy , sheets were damp , first floor with strong odor of bleach due to the pool, it felt unsafe and due to health issue I was not able to stay. Front desk agent was not kind nor helpful. I find it to be bad etiquette when a customer is asking for a refund while he’s in the lounge sitting on a sofa on his personal phone and doesn’t have the decency to stand up to address my needs , yes he asked me what was wrong , it should suffice that I just did not want to stay and he should have known by my body language that I did not feel safe While I won’t get a refund which is fine by me I will not be going back nor will I recommend this hotel .     Needs an Update

    The best thing I can say about this hotel is the guy that checked us in was nice. From the moment we walked in I knew we made a mistake. We are used to staying along the Texas coast so we understand the humidity and salt make it a constant battle with maintenance. However it didn’t seem like the lobby even had air conditioning, there was a leak in the lobby ceiling and buckets everywhere, and it smelled like mildew.We got into the room and I was relieved at first because I could feel the cold air from the ac so I knew it was working. Clearly the floors aren’t cleaned often. There was hair and a couple of little black bugs on bathroom floor. The bathtub and no drain plug connected, just a hole. The shelf that used to be in the shower looks like it was knocked off and they just left the glue on the wall where it was. Commode was older and has seen some action. The couch in the sitting area just needs to be thrown away, it smelled old. I don’t know how to explain that smell, you just know the smell.Pass it up and pay a little more for better place.
