  I chose the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Houston NW–Cy-Fair after seeing its rating on Choice Hotels and decided to give it a shot. The area was okay, but the guest environment felt questionable. I was extremely disappointed to request a non-smoking room, only to be placed in a smoking room. Even worse, we had to move twice — the first time after finding a roach on the pillow we had just laid our toddler on, which made us very nervous about cleanliness in the next room.It’s surprising to see that this property won a Choice award, as it clearly seems to have gone downhill. While I could see attempts at upgrades, things like the light fixture pulling away from the ceiling and issues in the sitting area show a lack of upkeep.I wouldn’t recommend this property for families. At best, it might work as a quick stop for a few hours of sleep, but certainly not for a comfortable or worry-free stay.   Would be 4 stars...except for one major deal-breaker

  They spent a lot of money fixing up and modernizing the interiors of the rooms, which were quite nice, as well as cleaning up the exteriors, which was also quite nice. Overall, I would have rated it at least 4 out of 5 stars, except for one major problem.The ever-present stink of nearby rooms hotboxing their rooms with hours and hours of smoking weed, permeating into my non-smoking room. I do not have an issue with people choosing to smoke weed if they want to, not my concern what they do in their own rooms. But where I have issue is when it seeps through whatever linked ventilation systems or cracks in the walls or whatever and turns my room into a skunky, eye-watering experience. I chose a non-smoking room for a reason. How about not putting smoking and non-smoking rooms next to each other? Or, better yet, go all non-smoking like so many Choice properties have done already?

  WOW. Incredibly clean, quiet & so reasonably priced. Our room was HUGE with a 52" ( at least? ) tv with premium channels, microwave, frig, hairdryer...but no coffee maker. Very comfy bed however, no blanket under the duvet? We stayed 3 nights, here for work & we have a coffeemaker & blankets in our truck so it was fine but if you don't have these things you may wanna double check that they are available. Truck parking is TIGHT. Call ahead to see if there's room..and you'll need to turn around using the Starbucks lot.It's a beautiful hotel, inside & outside. And again, the nightly rate is just unbelievable. We never stopped for breakfast in the morning so I can't comment on that but..when reviewers complain about FREE food..thats just sad.

  Had a decent stay here and mostly what I expected for the class of hotel. Got a non-smoking room but still smelled like smoke. The room seemed pretty clean. The furniture was a bit scuffed (not a big deal) but noticed other little flaws. I think that combined with smell kinda made me more critical from the get go. Overall it was ok though.

  my stay here was amazing, great room for the price, great customer service and even a wonderful low price for late check out. You don't have to worry about being disturbed or anything they leave you in peace and quiet if that is what you wish. All in all I would definitely recommend this place and it is also in a great location, it was a plus being so close to Walmart and Denny's.
