    The embassy suites was very nice and clean. All staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price of just a room you receive free made to order breakfast every morning as well as two complementary alcoholic beverages a day. We met Claude the HGV/ lobby ambassador who was AWESOME!!! So friendly and had great recommendations for food and activities around. Everyone was friendly and will definitely come back.

    The main attributes of the Embassy Suites Houston Downtown are its location and the size of the suites. Short walk to Daikin Park, Toyota Center, Brown Convention Center, public transit, and many restaurants. And the suites are large with a bedroom and a separate living room that can be used as a sleeping or working area.The room was quiet with fast internet, and the bed was comfortable But, except for the nice flat screen TVs, the furnishings looked like those I found in Embassy Suites back in the 1990s. Could use a bit of a refresh, although the suite was clean and seemed well-maintained.As is typical for Embassy Suites, the breakfast buffet was ample and well-stocked. The fitness center was large and well-equipped. And, while I didn't have much contact with the front desk staff, the contact I did have was friendly, professional, and efficient.There are many hotels in the area across the spectrum of brands. I found the Embassy Suites Houston Downtown to be a good value. It may be a bit worn around the edges, but a pleasant place to stay for a visit to Downtown Houston.
