    Rundown, dirty with roaches

    We are currently staying in room 107. There is a roach. The carpet is torn. The walls are scraped. The most disturbing thing was that this morning my redheaded daughter woke up to find black hairs in her bed.The only pro is that the person at the desk who checked us was friendly.     Bugs in Room - Management Doesn’t Care

    My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel in Conroe. Over our stay, we had issues with the mini fridge not working, which we reported to two people, and we also found ants in our room the morning of our check out. We brought this to the attention of the assistant manager at the hotel (Cristina), showing her pictures of the ants that she acknowledged, and she apologized and agreed to give us a $20 discount on our stay for the inconvenience. She wrote this discount down on our bill and told us she would email an updated invoice so we went on our way. She then called back several hours later stating that she saw no ants or “signs of ants” and that the mini fridge was working perfectly fine, therefore, she was going back on her previous agreement of $20 off on our invoice. I brought back up to her the pictures of the ants we showed her, the fact that we reported the mini fridge outage on the night we checked in, and the silliness of making up a story like that for only $20, she simply replied each time “I do not know, but I can give you some points.” We even told Cristina that we chose not to move rooms due to the mini fridge because it would have been a bigger inconvenience since we noticed the issue late at night the first night we stayed and we were too busy working the following day to change rooms. The bigger issue was the ants, which I believe any manager would agree is unacceptable at a hotel. Cristina had no answer to this. Manager Katie never responded to the emails with our ant pics. No resolution. We were simply left with them lying to us about a measly discount before reneging on it hours later.     THEFT!!!! Do NOT stay here!!! A 29 year old man entered our room while we were eating the complimentary breakfast and stole all credit cards and personal items. Hotel manager Katie Sauer lied and said cameras weren’t working. Cameras were working and the guy is in jail. Hotel destroyed key card evidence by the time it got to investigators. Employees involved!!! Horrible company and manager.     Theft of personal items from this staff

    Theft of personal items. While we were eating the free breakfast just right down the hall, members of this staff entered our room (which had a do not disturb sign on it) and stole personal items (jewelry, purses, wallets with credit cards) they didn't touch any electronic devices which could be tracked - which means this isn't the first time they have done this. Of course it wasn't until later trying to replay things in your mind that I realized the front desk person was the lookout. During breakfast I thought it was odd that he loitered around the lobby with a clear line of sight to our room and the breakfast area.The Manager on duty had the worst response to us when I brought this to here attention - she was unsympathetic, rude, flat out didn't believe me only stating her staff "wouldn't do that". The police were called and we had to wait awhile until they arrived. During that time waiting, we received fraud alerts on our cards that were stolen, only further proving that they were stolen from our locked room - could only be accessed with a key. In the lobby while i waited for the police, another customer was signing in, and all i said was "make sure you lock up your stuff, I'm waiting on the police now because items were stolen out of our room". The manager came out of her office and told me i couldn't "harass the other customers and me and my family should no longer stay there. I had been cordial up until then, but now - we had our personal items stolen from there staff and then she proceeds to kick us out of the hotel. When the police show up they take our statement and then go with the manager to look at the security cameras. here comes a shocker....the cameras were not recording during that time, you can only see the live feed. imagine that.This place is not safe as it is the staff itself who pose the threat to you. Investigation is still ongoing and yes we do intend on pressing charges. I will be contacting this hotels corporate office to see if they have the same response as their manager or care about their customers.Merchants from some of the stores have been more than willing to help and have been understanding way more than the manager whose watch this happened under. She never even apologized even after the evidence that came through. Quite the opposite kicking me and my family out. We were down there for a family wedding.     Not a pleasant visit and not the holiday inn I’m expecting to be. I’ve been to many diff location of Holiday Inn but this one in Conroe, Tx. is so dissapointing. Unfriendly staff and nasty looking swimming pool very green water that seem never clean for months . Get a hotel somewhere else.
