    Clean rooms, bad shuttle!

    Friendly front desk staff, comfortable beds! Shuttle is supposed to be from7-2. We waited until 7:50. I had a 7:45 appointment, so I was late. We called at 12:35 to be picked up. She was leaving at the top of the hour. We called back at 1:25 and she said she was dropping people off. It’s 1:33 and here she is. Don’t stay here if you are counting on the shuttle. Plan to use Uber. The rooms are clean!

    My wife and I have stayed here several times now... reasonable rates, clean rooms, good service, and an excellent location.... this place checks all the boxes. The included breakfast is also worth a mention - especially the hot cinnamon rolls!

    This is a great hotel overall. Clean, friendly staff, but the location is wonderful if you have appointments at any of the hospitals in the Medical District. Breakfast was typical for HIE. Never had a problem and have stayed many times in the past few years.

    Front desk is all friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, well maintained, and relatively quiet despite being on busy street. Internet was fast, shower was hot on an upper floor, rooms are spacious. Breakfast was a bit above average, about what I'd expect for this type of hotel. There's overnight security in the parking lot. Would stay here again!

    Great Hotel for Medical complex visit in Houston

    My wife had a very early appointment at the Fondren center in Houston. Being 1.5 hours away we got a Hotel for the previous night. This 2.5 star Holiday Inn was 5 minutes away. The area around the Hotel is not the best, but it is fenced, and had security outside watching the parking lot all night. (he was even there in the drizzly rain at 5:10 am) Pros: Parking and WiFi are free, the Hotel was modern, Hotel and room was impeccably clean, AC was cold and quiet, Staff was very friendly and helpful, letting us check in 3 hours early, and changing us to a two bed room, even though I originally ordered a single King, beds were very comfortable, with both soft and firm pillows on each bed, linens were clean, and fresh, there was a microwave and mini fridge in the room, and no surcharge deposit is required at check in. Breakfast is also free, but we had to leave for our appointment before 5:30am, so we didn't get to try it. Cons: The iron they provided took a while to get hot. That is pretty much the only thing my wife fussed about, I was way beyond satisfied with our stay here. The Hotel is on Main Street, just inside the 610 loop, so there is almost zero traffic to deal with getting to the Medical complexes in Houston. I would highly recommend this Hotel for going to the Medical complexes, Reliant Stadium, Houston Zoo/Zoo Lights, or even Galleria/West side shopping, as you are away from the crowded craziness this time of year, but close enough to get there quickly. Would love to stay here again.
