    Dirty & Noisy Room

    I stayed on the 7th floor, and the wind noise from outside was extremely loud because the AC unit is an open window (it’s an older style AC but shouldn’t be this loud, obviously they never maintained it for noise/sound insulation, especially it’s closer to a freeway). I could barely sleep the entire stay.The room was also not clean upon check-in. There was hair on the bathroom floor, the room smelled stale instead of fresh, the desk was sticky and dirty, and the chair was visibly stained and unclean.Overall, this was a very uncomfortable experience, and I would not recommend staying here at all.     Much good about it, but the poor quality beds ruin it.

    The good: The staff is really friendly and cheerful. That is usually a result of hiring good people and offering them good training. The rooms are quite clean. The price is surprisingly low for being in the middle of the 4th largest city in the U.S. The bad: The beds are exceedingly broken down. You will spend your night trying to climb out of a nearly foot deep hole in the middle of your bed. We had a room with two beds and each had our own bed. My wife is only 135 pounds and she experienced the same thing. Horrible on your back. They need to spend the money on new beds. Pillows are almost completely flat. Bath towels will rank with some of the tiniest and most thin you have ever seen.If you want a cheap place to stay for a few nights and are ok with sacrificing a good nights sleep, its ok. If you value sleeping well, you will regret it. No way we would stay here again until they upgrade their beds.     The staff is outstanding. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely focused on the guest experience. Marriott should prioritize investing in a refresh. The Sheraton sign is not fully illuminated, the room furnishings feel dated, and the lobby could use an update.Making these improvements would likely drive higher occupancy and more repeat business. That said, the team does a great job compensating for the property’s age. The beds are comfortable, the hotel feels safe, and the buffet is enjoyable. The price is a true bargain, and the concierge level is a definite added benefit.I would stay here again. The nearby freeway was not an issue for noise, and the hotel itself was quiet, which matters a lot to me. Given the unique location and limited direct competition, it is surprising this has not already been remodeled and refreshed. Housekeeping also did an excellent job each day.     The location was great, just off the 610 Loop in Houston. Very friendly staff. Outstanding experience with the sales office in planning my meeting. They didn’t miss a step and assisted me in putting together every detail. Compared to other hotels in the area their rates were more than fair. I highly recommend this property. I’ll be calling the sales department for my next meeting as well.     Awful customer service. Subpar sheraton

    The room was subpar, the phones did not work. Room and bathrooms were dirty. Backboards of beds were peeling. Once lay down itching started. The night stand full of dust. I had to call from my phone to the front desk. Once they finally answered they did not fulfill any of my requests. I only had one set of towels. It was a 2 bed room, I traveled with my wife and daughter. Towels never arrived. I am a bonvoy member and even though I asked many times to make sure my acct was there. I have not received the points or the stay in my account. I went down and show pictures of all the issues of the room (still have the pictures) I was told a manager would reach out to me with points compensation. Never got that call. I called again a guy answered, I didnt get a name but initially he said he didnt know about the issue then almost immediately said he had seen an email. Again, It has been 3 weeks, no call no points not even counts as a stay in my bonvoy acct. It is as if I never stayed there. the only "apology" I got was from an agent that said the hotel has never had a renovation since it was built.
