    A power outage at my apartment sent me to The Lancaster last minute, very frazzled — and Gary at the front desk completely turned the night around. He was warm and welcoming from the second I walked in, got me checked in quickly, and offered a glass of sparkling wine that was exactly what I needed.The hotel itself is lovely — quiet, beautiful, great Theater District location — but Gary W. is what made the stay memorable. He’s professional without being stiff and genuinely kind without it feeling performative. What started as an annoying emergency turned into a lovely little solo staycation, largely thanks to him. The Lancaster is lucky to have Gary. Five stars, and I’ll be back under better circumstances.     I've stayed at the Lancaster twice now, and I can't recommend it enough! And I live in the Houston area. The hospitality is outstanding, with staff going out of their way to ensure a great experience. A special shoutout to Gary—he's incredibly helpful and generous, making my stay even better.     The LancasterHoustonOur Anniversary1063402636We loved our stay. We were celebrating our anniversary and had tickets to go across the street to the symphony. When we arrived to check in we were upgraded to the artist suite. It was excellent. There were chocolate covered strawberries and champagne when we arrived. Also a hand written note with some delicious macarons in the bedroom. The kitchenette was stocked with complimentary snacks and refrigerator with complementary drinks.Also, we were given free breakfast room service. The front desk arranged a restaurant reservation for us. The restaurant was a great place to have dinner before the symphony and get a drink at the bar. We had dessert delivered to our room after the symphony. It was absolutely amazing! We loved the suite and the customer service.Thank you Marion S.     This is how hotel service should be!! Finally, a hotel that remembers how to treat their guests. Service is bar none, amenities are amazing, and the food is fantastic. This place is such a hidden gem, I almost don't want to write a review, because then it won't be our little secret anymore!
