    I cannot stress enough how we received exceptional customer service! Thank you Jewel at front desk for going above and beyond for my family and I. As our long stay came to a conclusion, we were sad to go. My kids already knew her by name and always looked forward to seeing Jewel. I pray that you get the recognition you deserve! God bless you abundantly for you kind heart and attention to detail.

    I chose this place because it’s in a great location with plenty of excellent restaurants nearby—there’s something for everyone. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast options are varied and delicious, and the overall service is outstanding. The Hispanic lady working at night was especially kind and polite. I will definitely be coming back!

    Grieving widow refused service

    My husband booked a room through booking.com as we use and trust them most of the time. My sister had learned that her husband has passed so she ran out of work without her purse. When things finally calmed, we booked her room at TruHilton in katy, where she was refused a room due to an old ID that she found and she also explained the situation. Staff still refused service without any empathy or discretion. When I called the hotel to understand why, the front desk employee gave me a false name identifying himself as "Josh" who was the front desk person who treated her so poorly. I found out later his actual name was Jacob. This was shockingly unkind and unprofessional behavior form brand that claims to value hospitality. Turning away a grieving widow and then misrepresenting staff identity is unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend this location or any Hilton location if this is how the staff is taught to treat customers.

    This place is just strange. The room decor was really unappealing. Plastic, metal, vinyl, loud colors. If I had to give this style a name, it would be Circus-Industrial. The floor was sticky sheet vinyl. The window dressing was a brightly colored, heavy vinyl roller shade, with a lighter weight, damaged roller shade behind it. The bottom sheet on the bed was some kind of nasty synthetic material. There were brightly colored stickers throughout the room, shouting at you in capital letters about some feature that is supposed to be exciting. No coffee maker. No place to hang a hand towel by the bathroom sink. The shower head had some spray adjustment options, but the water sprayed really hard on every setting. And once the water finally heated up, the temperature options were scalding, way-too-damned-hot, still uncomfortably hot... or off. Lighting was all cold, gray fluorescent. The vibe in here was just not good. I was not expecting luxury, but it's a Hilton brand, so I was expecting something much more appealing than this. I honestly don't understand who they are trying to appeal to with this bizarre, in-your-face style. I found it nauseating.I was prompted repeatedly to check in online and get a digital key. I followed instructions and the key never came through. The desk clerk had trouble programming my key card. I was booked for 2 nights, but the key card stopped working after one night and had to be coded again at the front desk. The staff were nice enough, but I really disliked the property. I also found it strange that there was a big drop-off/pick-up lane right outside the front door, but no ramp to roll your luggage or a cart up there - just a high curb all the way across. Ramps were down the sidewalk by the handicap spaces only. I gave Tru a shot, but I won't be going back.
