  Light didn't work at desk in room. Top sheet had a hole in it. Fitted sheet didn't stay on the mattress. The sheets were cotton unlike other hotel chains. Currently doing remodel work so expect dirt/dust. Managed by Indian (Nedunilam Hospitality) company.

  There May be a Reason the Price Was so Good

  Booked an ADA room with walk-in shower. (I wear a lower-limb prosthesis). The walk-in shower is extremely convenient for me. We got a regular bath with tub/shower combo. I called desk to inquire (twice) and was put on hold. No one ever bothered to call back or inquire. The light bulb on the desk lamp did not work and there were only decaf coffee pods for the Keurig.The hotel was under construction, which might have steered me in a different direction when making the reservation. The bath was, by definition, a bathroom. One must entirely enter the room and stand to one side to shut the door. When open, the door blocks the tub. The countertop -- although it appeared new, had a cute, pump/trough faucet that did not extend far enough over the basin. Water consistently would splash behind the raised basin and all over the sides of the countertop. The surface was small and did not well accommodate an overnight bag. The mirror, with lights encased, was bright, which is great, but when the room is otherwise dark, it is difficult to see details (such as applying makeup or doing hair) because of the blinding light.Upside; the room was clean. I wasn't, because I couldn't take a shower, but the room was clean.

  Misbehaving guests and no action taken by staff

  Chose this location due to proximity to Paola where we attended a wedding on June 21st. When we returned to the hotel at approximately 9:45, the parking lot was full, so we drove around to the back of the building. The outside door from the pool was open and the parking lot was full of 10-12 people, adults and children, some sitting on the curb, others walking around, and several kids were swinging bats in the middle of the parking lot, refusing to move so that we could drive by and park. My husband reported it to the front desk. There was another guest complaining as well. The desk attendant seemed indifferent and took no action. Would not stay there again.

  Hotel is not clean. Not up to Best Western standards. Was excellent 5 yrs ago but has severely gone down. Breakfast was ok but not great like it used to be

  Whomever is posting great reviews must have stayed at a different location. We stayed here last weekend and the level of disappointment I have is one I haven't experienced at a hotel in a long time. I SPECFICIALLY chose this hotel because of the hot tub. Long day of volleyball equals girls wanting to relax their muscles. NOPE, not here! I even called a few days prior to staying to ask 1. do you still have a hot tub (knowing that many hotels are now getting rid of them but not updating their website info) and 2. IS IT WORKING! The answer was yes to both. We get to the hotel after a long 10 hour day in a gym to find a room that smelled like body odor. The people we were staying with said the rooms upstairs smelled like curry. We spray some body spray and figure we can make it work for the 12 hours we're going to be there. The girls head to the hot tub where they found a non-working hot tub with cold water. The pool water was literally warmer than the hot tub. We ask the not so friendly front desk attendant who assured us all we had to do was push the button on the wall. Yep, didn't work. And the pool, so cloudy I was to skeptical to get in it. If I didn't make this room for 3 other families as well, I would have packed up and left! The only positive was the breakfast was decent and the room "seemed" clean other than the smell which really, how clean can it be if it smells like body odor? I asked for the managers number and was told she doesn't have one but instead gave me a card with a gmail address for the manager. I emailed that night. Now 3 days later, still no response from the manager. Not even a sorry you were disappointed. DO NOT STAY HERE! Plenty of other nice hotels in the area. I can certainly understand your frustration regarding the hot tub at the hotel during your stay. I assure your that when you made your reservation the hot tub was operational. However, during your stay the heater to the hot tub went out due to misuse by another guest. We did not know that this was the case. We would never intentionally be dishonest with a guest. We did not have any other complaints that the hot tub was cold or we would have addressed the issue and let you check out. This was not an issue we could have corrected during your visit as we had to order a new heater for the hot tub. Regarding your room, we would have immediately changed your room had we been given an opportunity to know that you were uncomfortable. We are getting ready to start renovations at the hotel as we know it is a bit dated. Property changes will be coming soon and we would love if you would come re-visit as soon as these are completed.Again, I do apologize in the delay of response on my part and for the issues that you encountered during your stay. I will be more than happy to reach out as soon as everything has been completed and make this right for you. Thank you for your review and look forward a more enjoyable stay in the future.
