    First and last time

    Decided to stay at the hotel but I was a little nervous because after I booked I read more reviews and realized I might be taking a gamble, so here’s my experience.I was sent an email from the hotel about pre-checkin, a process that supposedly would streamline the checkin process by only needing to show my ID to get my room key after entering all my info online to include credit card for incidentals.The staff were really friendly upon checkin but it was a waste of time doing the “online checkin” because I did the same process I did at home all over again. Like I mentioned, great staff. The room was really stuffy and the AC barely worked and was more like a fan shooting out humid air so our windows had to stay open to the noise outside. Also, getting the AC to work I felt like I was solving escape room puzzles. The batteries to the AC remote were in backwards so I figured out quickly why they weren’t working. Then after almost 20min of frustration I realized the AC unit still would not turn on because the switch to power it was almost to the ceiling next to it where I had to stand on a chair to reach it. After it turned on it was better than how hot the room was but we soon realized it wouldn’t actually cool the room. The last issue is why I’m not staying there again. While getting ready to check out we saw a huge roach in the shower. If I saw it before we went to bed the night before I would not have been able to sleep comfortably so I’m glad it happened on the way out but needless to say I wont chance that happening again.     We stayed four nights at The O Hotel by Wyndham. Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by a serious health issue: there were bed bugs in our room.After the first night, a member of our party developed multiple skin reactions that continued to worsen. Because of the severity of the symptoms, we were forced to seek medical treatment during our stay. A physician evaluated the condition and confirmed that the symptoms were consistent with bed bug bites.We reported the issue to hotel management and requested a proper inspection of the room. We were not provided with clear confirmation that a professional third-party inspection was conducted.As a result of this incident, we incurred medical expenses and had to discard clothing due to contamination concerns. The medical visit and discarded items have not been reimbursed.Having to seek medical care while traveling due to a preventable issue was extremely stressful and concerning. A formal complaint regarding this matter has been submitted to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.Based on other reviews, we werent the only ones suffering from bed bugs.     Bed bug experience

    I had one of the worst experiences at this property. In the middle of the night, I noticed bedbugs in my room and had to move immediately. Being forced to change rooms at such an hour was extremely uncomfortable, stressful, and completely unacceptable for a hotel stay.What made the situation worse is that the night shift staff confirmed the presence of bedbugs but the property refused to take any real responsibility. As a paying guest, I should not be the one dealing with this kind of issue at midnight—ensuring comfort, cleanliness, and safety is the hotel’s responsibility.The lack of accountability from management shows a clear disregard for guest well-being. I will not be returning, and I want future guests to be aware of the situation they could face here.     Would Stay Again

    The rooms are a perfect size for one, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Once I learned how to operate the espresso maker, put the pod in sideways, how to operate the wand in the shower, use the knob above the shower head pull up or push down, and the TV, point the remote exactly at the red button, everything was great! Maintenance came to my room quickly to show me how to use the shower wand, polite and professional. The restaurant is operated by a vendor and I will say the food on offer and the service were both great. Best desserts I've had in a long time! The Refresher drink became my go to! Mike at the front desk was very helpful getting maintenance re the shower and also contacting the spa. Spa massage was very good, thank you Janet! Overall recommend this hotel both for staff, facilities and location to lots of good places to visit and restaurant selections.
