    Misleading Reservations

    The Hilton was overall clean and nice. We had however booked a King room. We check in at 4:00 pm into a room with 2 double beds. We are tall people. I called the front desk to inquire and was told that all the King rooms were given to guests who checked in before we did. He said they were sold out of Kings. I felt all this was a lie and didn’t appreciate paying a King rate, either. It was really disappointing.

    Solid option in Downtown Memphis

    Excellent location about 2 blocks walk to Beale Street, across the street from Minor league baseball stadium, several blocks walk to the Mississippi River waterfront. Also many restaurants and bars within walking distance, immediate area felt safe although you should be aware of your surroundings and there are some homeless people here and there. Hotel offers outdoor parking in an outdoor parking lot behind the hotel. Check in was quick and we found staff to be friendly and professional. Overall hotel was clean although the elevator floors had stains which have not been cleaned up since we checked in 2 days ago. Room is spacious and clean with large flat screen tv, fridge and microwave. Does not have any traditional drawer space but there are shelves in the closet which have wire drawers attached. Bathroom has a barn door which I thought was cool but other people might be turned off. Mattress was comfortable but the pillows were horrible. We did voice concerns about the pillow quality and housekeeping delivered us new pillows which were an improvement. Hotel has on site bar/restaurant...we did not eat there but we had cocktails which were very good. Hotel also has indoor pool we did not use and a fitness center with dumbbells (up to 55 pounds) and a multi purpose machine where you could do a variety of exercises. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend time in downtown Memphis

    The suite was nice, but bathroom floor was not cleaned correctly. Curtains in the seating area and bedroom were torn from the hooks. Trash on floor at sitting area. The carpet and floors need to be thoroughly cleaned at least once a week (Carpet and hardwood) for complete cleanness when another guest arrives for their stay.

    Staff was friendly and helpful, room was spacious & clean, location was close to everything including an easy walk to Beale Street and the Red Birds are just across the street.
