This is a very basic hotel. No extras. Not the cleanest hotel, but decent. We would not stay again.

Very basic. Would consider this a 2 star hotel. I wouldn’t stay here with kids again. Not the best neighborhood and train is farther than I would like.

    Ok- but not for me.

I booked two rooms direct from the hotel. We arrived at 5pm. Check-in when smoothly and the young lady at the front desk was very friendly. When we got to our room, I was surprised by how small it was. I stay in NYC and other cities often so I don’t want to be fed this is what you should expect. The two double beds seemed smaller than a double bed with no room to really walk. When we went into the bathroom, it was obvious that the bathroom was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There were towels on the floor from the last guests as well as a loofah and a jar of sugar scrub. I went down to the front desk and she came back up with me and took pictures of it and then switched us to a different room on a lower floor. The room was a tad bigger. The second room we booked was a king size bed on the 6th floor. I was hoping we would be near each other but oh well. There were sprigs of something on the bed but otherwise my kids (adults) said it was “ok”. I thought they were lucky to be able to see the city lights and my friend’s house across the way BUT that night it was so loud that they could not sleep. They said between the noise in the hallway and the thin walls between the rooms, it was a rough night. They ended up being up at 5am which is highly unlike them and going out for coffee. It was not loud where we were located on the first floor despite being almost at street level.Parking- eeek. There are limited spots in the back. They really should have a sign that says if you have a larger vehicle you will not be able to get out of the lot unscathed. It is a VERY tight one way lot with an impossible left turn with poles, generators and a fence. When you see the pole, you know that a lot of people’s vehicles have not made it out without a ding or scrape. There is street parking but that is always free so it is not like the motel is giving you something as an amenity. Don’t pull in-check it out first! You will thank me later. Perks- it was close to where I needed to be and a quick walk to Industry City. You need to go into this hotel with hostel vibes; It really is only a step above. If the beds were comfortable, I could ignore the rest of the ugliness but they were not. The pillows felt like hospital pillows and the pillowcases were like sandpaper making hospital linen feel luxurious in comparison. I put my tshirt over it. I do not think I would stay here again unless I had to. Meaning it is the only option. It is really hard to believe the place was recently remodeled.

    Great Location & Staff

    rating16 Sept 2025

I stayed here for one night with my sister and the location was phenomenal! The building is situated right off a busy street but so close to so many things. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here, especially given the price point.

Good hotel but there is improvement needed.

I would like to leave a list of pros and cons for this hotel.Pros:1. Very nice friendly people at desk2. Clean3. Free parking (a real plus)4. Good location – near subway, and within walking distance (if you are a walker) of Sunset Park and Park Slope. The City Industry is only two blocks away. Here you will find many plaes to eat, food to buy and the Japanese Village. The neighborhood itself is a great mixture of all cultures which makes it very interesting.5. The subway is a few blocks away and the 36th street station is an express stop so the time into the city is much faster than having to go on a local all the way.Cons: 1. My room had only one accessible outlet that was used by the microwave, the coffee maker and the refrigerator (not at the same time since there are only two plugs in the outlet). If I wanted to plug my computer in, I needed to unplug one of the appliances. This outlet is located under the desk. The TV uses an outlet higher on the wall which is not accessible. There also is no accessible outlet on either side of the bed. The lamp outlets are in back of the headboard. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. This problem can be easily solved without having to rewire the room by purchasing three lamps that have plugs and USB out outlets. If you visit a room like I had make sure you bring a strip that you can plug into the outlet and use several things at once.2. The breakfast was not that great. They had very few options and did not have any orange juice. For a New York hotel the bagels were horrible.Would I stay at this hotel again, yes. I do plan on staying there again, I just will know what to expect. The free parking is a definite plus, however, there are only about 15 spots for the whole hotel, so you may have to wait to get a spot.

OK for a Night or Two

    rating06 May 2025

In a fairly industrial area, but it seemed safe. Comfy room, but not very large. No closet, but hangers available. It was just fine for a solo traveler. I paid extra for a "view" which was laughable. You could see row houses and parking lots below...the city wayyyy in the distance. The breakfast left something to be desired, however! Not very appetizing at all. Crowded small room to eat in. I walked to a diner down the block.
