    Convenient location to Portsmouth. The rooms were clean and the pool was nice. Attached to a diner that was pretty good. Excellent price.

    Compared to other BWP hotels this one was a bit disappointing. The room was old and outdated, the lobby the same. There was no complimentary breakfast and while the restaurant next door was fine and offered a 10% discount (only on week days) the overall experience was just fair. For the price I felt it could have been a better stay.

    Major Security risks!

    Employees tried 2 different times to open my room w/o knocking. The first time the employee charged right into my room without knocking and I yelled for them to get out. They claimed to be looking for luggage carts. The second time was the cleaning staff in the morning prior to checkout time. She just tried to barge in without knocking but luckily I had it latched. As a solo female or anyone this had me feeling extremely unsafe. The reception staff also tried to press me for an extra $25 to check in at 2:48pm when my room was already ready. My room had a sliding glass door that could’ve been accessed by the next room since the lock did not work properly. There are so many other hotels in Portsmouth. I will NEVER return and will steer anyone I know away.

    Nice hotel overall with great proximity to the Highway. The bathroom is very small so if you’re little on the bigger side, it may be an issue. Room was very far from elevator, and we were never able to find a luggage cart but overall it was clean and did the trick. The Roundabout Diner next-door is excellent!

    If you’re going to operate a rundown, outdated hotel, the price should reflect that. Unfortunately, this hotel charges premium rates while offering extremely poor conditions — and that’s why I’m leaving this review.Our room had peeling wallpaper and water-damaged ceilings in the bathroom. The air conditioner made such a loud, awful noise that it kept us up most of the night. The entire room had a terrible smell, and there was a strong urine odor just outside the patio area. The freezer was completely iced over, making it nearly impossible to fit even a small freezer pack.What really pushed it over the edge was the additional $25 charge for early check-in — on top of already outrageous nightly rates. I find it unacceptable for any hotel to tack on fees like that, especially when the overall experience is so poor.
