    Beware of the beds: an avoidable hazardWe are staying in a room on the third floor and the bed base design is a complete disaster. The beds consist of large wooden box frames that are significantly bigger than the mattresses, with sharp, protruding edges that stick out several inches on all sides.Every time you walk near the bed you end up banging your shins or feet. It is extremely uncomfortable and genuinely dangerous, especially for children and elderly people. This looks like a cheap, poorly thought-out design with zero attention to safety or functionality.A chain hotel like Best Western should not have such an obvious and risky defect in its rooms. Very poor design and clear negligence.Attaching photos so you can see how oversized and badly designed these bed bases are.

    I would really like to tell you something nice about the hotel but the rudeness of the staff just takes my breath away. My wife tried to see if they could early check in at 2:15 after spending all night for animal check in for the San AntonioRodeo (if you know you know). Check in is normally 3 but it was worth a shot. Now my wife has been up for 36 hours at this point and just was like ‘I’ll take anything, really’ even though we had requested and paid for a nice room. The staff insisted no one could check in before three, Then as my wife was bringing her luggage in, Desiree (that’s what she said her name was - no name tag) said “if you are unhappy I can cancel your reservation and you can stay somewhere else”. Really? Who says that?? Like we didn’t reserve this in advance and pay good money to stay there and like you could magic up a room near the rodeo on a Friday?? The service was appalling. We have already complained to corporate and will NOT be staying with them again!

    Location: Great 1/2 brock off a highway and on a major street. Near downtown, and the Frost Bank Center.Service: Very nice friendlyCleanliness: EXCELLENTAmenities: Wifi was spotty for 2-3 minutes but great overall and breakfast was good eggs were little dry could use some butter....

    Lots of commotion during the night, loud arguments thought there was going to be fighting. My vehicle was damaged in attempted theft in the parking lot.Check in staff less than professional.
