  Best Breakfast Buffet

  My family and I stayed at Sunday House November 15, 2025 and checked out on tge 16th. It is located on Main Street, so it was close to everything touristy in Fredericksburg. I have to say the front desk ladies were sweet and friendly over the phone taking my reservation and greeting us, when we checked in. It is the same story for our check out, just amazingly friendly and full of smiles. The true rockstar is Lexi, who was a whirling, twirling dynamite of the breakfast room. The hotel, was booked, she had a lot of folks to feed Sunday morning, but she kicked butt at doing a fantastic job. She was cooking, bringing hot food out to the buffet and cleaning up. Pans were being cleaned out by all of us guests, in everyone's haste to fill bellies after a weekend of festivals, trade shows or just walking around. The hot food was good, but I have to say the fruit was excellent. Whomever shopped and picked out the pears did an excellent job, they were sweet and juicy and I did not see a bruise on any of them. It is hard to find delicious fruit on a breakfast buffet at a hotel, Sunday House hit the nail on the head. For a one woman show in the breakfast room feeding as many people as we saw Sunday morning, Lexi was truly Wonder Woman. She is friendly and a great conversationalist. We had a suite, which was nice and roomy. It was perfect for us for visiting with family, also visiting in the area. It was also great for our 3 member family, since our 11 year old daughter, is always annoyed with her parents and she could find a place to hide away, when her cousins were not around.Kudos to whomever the owner is for hiring such a dynamite staff!! There truly is not enough good words for each one we came across in our short visit. I am so glad my cousin told me about this locale.

  The room was not cleaned in different occasions.

  Great location but they do not clean the room. They ask you if you want the room to be cleaned and they don’t do it finding any kind of excuse. Sometimes they leave the towels outside the door in a plastic bag and the room is not cleaned. I don’t recommend the place unless they start cleaning the rooms.

  When we checked in it was late. We went in to drop our bags and leave to go eat. I noticed a roach in the bath tub. I killed it and we left. I thought okay one roach that could’ve come in when someone opened the door. We came back from eating, and there was another one in the bathroom. That’s not a coincidence. The night clerk seemed horrified and really apologetic, and moved us to another room, but when I went to check out, the lady helping me just laughed it off. Also, the carpet was sticky and felt like it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. We definitely won’t be staying there again.

  Location is perfect!

  This is a great, simple hotel, walkable to Main Street and downtown Fredericksburg. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel had everything we needed for our short stay. The patio area and pool were a bonus. The breakfast was a great addition so we didn't have to go out immediately. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. This is not a 5 star hotel so don’t book with that expectation. It is however a great location and extremely convenient!

  Clean, Comfortable Motel - ABSOLUTE BEST Complimentary Breakfast Anywhere

  Stayed the night at Sunday house on 15 Aug 2025.This was our fourth time staying at the Sunday House Inn, Fredericksburg, Tx.Our stay was pleasant as always. The facility is clean, the pool area is well maintained as is the entire facility. The large dressing area in room was nice too and the beds are very comfortable. WIFI worked flawlessly, as did the small microwave and the refrigerator kept things very cold.Now the reason we actually return again and again to Sunday House.It is the BREAKFAST, Ms LEXI the cook, server and manager is fantastic and provides the ABSOLUTE BEST Breakfast we have found at any motel/hotel in our 60 years of traveling.Let me repeat that complimentary breakfast is ABSOLUTE BEST ANYWHERE and so is Ms Lexi. No, before you ask, we are not related - lol.Miss Lexi keeps the place so neat and clean. There are a good assortment of breakfast muffins and rolls, fresh fruit, cereals for kids and adults, make your own waffles, 4 types of coffee and 4 of juice, granola snack bars are available, but, and it is a big BUT,the buffet is FANTASTIC. Delicious biscuits and sausage gravy with biscuits that are neither too heavy nor too fluffy, just perfect. Great bacon hashbrowns are a real treat. The eggs are good too and so are either the sausage links or bacon. Everything is freshly prepared by Ms Lexi, who is always interacting and helping visitors. However much she is paid, it probably is not enough.We HIGHLY recommend this facility and we are returning again twice more this year because of Ms Lexi's breakfast room and fact the facility is clean and comfortable, even if it is not the fanciest nor chic modern. Comfortable, clean, quiet and FANTASTIC breakfast are what really counts.Thank you Sunset House and Ms Lexi
