    An Unsettling Environment and a Premature Departure

    Our experience at this property was, quite frankly, a series of mounting red flags that began at the curb and ended with us checking out only six hours after arrival. Despite the hotel's 3.5-star rating, the reality of the stay was far below any acceptable standard of hospitality.Arrival and Financial DiscrepanciesThe approach to the hotel was immediately off-putting; we had to navigate through a gas station and past an aggressive individual shouting at passing traffic. Upon check-in, the experience remained rocky. I was advised of a $100 incidental deposit, yet the receptionist attempted to process my card for $122.66. It wasn't until I questioned the "extra" charges that he corrected the amount.A Compromised AtmosphereFinding our room which was situated directly alongside the noise of the I-805 freeway required navigating a parking lot that felt genuinely unsafe. Several vehicles were occupied by people simply loitering, and the air was thick with a heavy, overwhelming scent of marijuana.The Final StrawThe interior of the room offered no sanctuary. It was completely saturated with the odor of stale cigarette smoke, making it clear that cleaning protocols were either ignored or ineffective. We left for our daily activities within ten minutes of arrival, but the dread of returning stayed with us all afternoon.Decision to Leave: Ultimately, the environment was so distressing that we couldn't justify staying. Just six hours into our booking, we officially checked out. I told my wife that I would much rather endure the drive home than spend a single night in those conditions.

    Last minute road trip need a room in a pinch

    I had to do a last minute turnaround trip to san diego in this location was perfect.I was by myself, just me and my dog didn't need anything fancy.Just something comfortable for the night was going down to san diego to buy a car.The location was four minutes away from the dealership was clean, comfortable friendly.They had little egg quiche for breakfast.That was pretty awesome.So I would give this place a five out of five stars, even when I needed to stay an extra day because my car was not ready.They allowed me to stay at a discounted rate.Everyone there was pretty nice, friendly and awesome

    Recently remodeled lobby and breakfast area, everything looks fresh, clean, and welcoming! The customer service here is excellent; every staff member I interacted with was friendly and accommodating. The new manager is doing a fantastic job and really seems to care about guests’ experiences.The only thing that could use a little improvement is the parking lot, it could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and clearer markings. Other than that, it’s a great stay overall. Highly recommend for comfort, convenience, and great service!
