Location

This hotel is located in Carlsbad, minutes away from Camp Pendleton, Del Mar Racetrack, SeaWorld, the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. The beach is roughly 3 minutes' drive away. It is less than 10 minutes from Legoland and The Crossings, Carlsbad's golf course, and close to many famous San Diego attractions. It is minutes from championship golf at La Costa Resort and Spa, 4 Seasons Aviara. Guests can stroll across the street to Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Facility

The resort has 149 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     My room was nice but I didn't like the setting itself. They're undergoing major renovations, so the parking lot is somewhat unmaintained, and the overall vibe is tired and outdated. The numbers on the doors are hard to see (written on strips of tape). The buildings lack numbers or names, so I found challenging to navigate, despite the map. The "lobby" is currently a hotel room (again, hard-to-see signs lead to it). No elevators, stairs only. From the time I checked in shortly before 3, until 8 pm, the wedding venue next door blarred drumming contests (or recitals) that dominated the atmosphere. I got a "deal" on my room from Trip Advisor, but I paid too much for too little.

    The hotel allowed us an early check-in. That’s a win-win in itself. A hotel is clean and comfortable and appears to be getting renovated.

    Overnight homeless problem. No security.

    We were in the back building. The rooms seem newly remodeled and clean. However, its turns out there is no security. The "gates" that you need to swipe your card to access dont work. Around 530am there was a homeless/drugged up man BANGING on doors and yeling. To people? To noone? To everyone? We realised there was no peep hole on the doors when he banged on our second floor door. The kids were frightened and crying. We assume the police were called, but Noone went back to sleep. Super scary. Hopefully our car is fine.     I stayed on Valentines weekend with my wife and wanted a nice romantic time. Well, that didn’t happen. There doing construction at the hotel and they’re making tons of noise I was up all night because of the loud AC and then woke up again at 6:45 in the morning with more noise from construction. I will never stay here again.     The room was very spacious. Loved the hardwood floors and they were clean. It’s very quiet and serene with lots of green plants and trees. Do recommend this hotel for families and they are pet friendly. The front desk girl Debbie accommodated us even though it was 2am she was an amazing help.
