    Whenever I travel for business to San Diego, I stay at the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Sorrento Valley. It is clean, modern, and centrally located. The staff is excellent. I stayed there last week and made a mistake on my reservation. The manager was extremely gracious and was able to quickly help me resolve the situation. I felt very well taken care by the Courtyard team.

    Dilapidated old musty hotel

    We were forced to stay here for a soccer tournament. During our stay, the hotel was old and dilapidated, the carpet was dirty and the hotel had the old musky smell to it . Our rooms had dust, cobwebs, spiders, bugs and a slug in n the ceiling with stains. The hot tub jets were broken and although it was indoor, the hot tub itself was filthy with what appeared to be dead skin and dirt. We complained to the staff about our room, so they moved us upstairs which was a little better, but not by much. The hot tub stayed broken and filthy throughout our four day stay. I complained to the staff while there and Marriott customer service when I got home, but I received an email back from Matt B. Marriott Bonvoy® Case Resolution Specialist, that I hadn't notified hotel management about the conditions. Well Matt B. then why the heck did they move me my first night shortly after check in

    Great hotel, close to UCSD and all the shopping, etc that La Jolla has to offer but in a much quieter and easy to park location. Nice pool and courtyard and very friendly staff. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought I was in the much more expensive Marriott resort in SanDiego. Loved the place!!!

    This hotel is clean and recently updated. Pool area is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast not included. Parking was ok for larger vehicle. The beds were comfortable. This is a very good value and minutes away from most of the attractions

    I'm not going to waste our time by telling you about how fluffy the pillows were, but if you're familiar with a Marriott Courtyard then this one does not disappoint. This property was very clean and adequate besides not having a microwave in room. Where this place shines is it's employees and their hospitality. Especially want to shout out to Savannah who checked us in and started our stay right and also Amelia ended it. Definitely will be returning.
