  Room was decent and location excellent, but front office service is awful. On our last night, there was a domestic violence situation in another room and no one from the management responded even after being called several times. The police ended up coming at 4am. It was an awful experience. A female guest was screaming for help and begging us to call 911. Several other guests called 911. Sadly the Police took 40 minutes to respond. Management should have had an emergency protocol for Hotel guests There was no response from management or the hotel owner even though a detailed message had been left on their phone at 3:30 AM. They never followed up either. This was very disappointing. Mini Hotel guest were very upset by the incident. Jim Silver, General Manager at Pacific Shores Inn, responded to this review The first thing I heard about that morning was the disturbance of the two military guys located in one of our guestrooms. We apologize for their behavior and did notify the police without any response at all. The security person on duty went a few times without any real success. We are very sorry for the situation and have made it clear that this guest is no longer welcome at our property. Unfortunately there is no way to prevent an angumant between guests until it occurs.   We had a fantastic stay at Pacific Shores Inn in San Diego! The location is unbeatable—just step to Pacific Beach, restaurants, and shops, making it perfect for a laid-back coastal getaway.The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-kept, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool area was a nice bonus—quiet, clean, and great for unwinding after a day at the beach.What really stood out was the friendly and helpful staff. They made check-in easy and were always available if we needed anything.Overall, Pacific Shores Inn is a great value for the location. If you’re looking for a simple, comfortable place near the beach with great service, this is a perfect choice. We’d definitely stay here again!   PSI is the absolute BEST place to stay in San Diego! With clean, comfortable, affordable rooms and a very friendly, exceptionally professional staff. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels for work and pleasure and this is right at the top of the list. We will be back!   Great hotel and best bang for the buck in San Diego!!!!!!

  I have stayed at Pacific Shores Inn several times and am very impressed the rooms are an excellent value. The property is well kept and clean. Miss Marlene is a total professional, she is extremely bright, accommodating, always providing excellent service not to mention extremely attractive, well kept and carries herself with class. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the San Diego area.   **Not the Hyatt… but absolutely perfect for a beach getaway with dogs!**Okay… it’s not the Ritz or the Hyatt. It’s a typical beach town inn. You sacrifice the five-star amenities, sure — but in return, you get a super clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay (though the beds could use a mattress topper).The best part? **Free parking** and you’re literally *steps from the beach*. If your idea of a beach vacation doesn’t involve valet, long treks with coolers, or the hassle of finding parking before schlepping back to a fancy resort — this is the place.It’s also **pet/dog friendly**, which was a huge win for us. The laminate floors make it a no-brainer for pups, and there are potty spots just outside your door. (Try finding that convenience at a big chain hotel — elevator, long walk, hunt for grass... you know the drill.)You can walk to tons of restaurants and grocery stores — everything you need is right there. It’s not fancy, so if that’s your vibe, steer clear. But if location matters more than luxury — especially for dog owners — this place is hard to beat.Honestly, I hope not too many people discover it, or they’ll raise the rates! But the staff truly deserves credit.
