  You might want to avoid this property. I checked into San Diego and some hotels are mixed use for both guests and homeless. Not sure if this is one of these hotels but it sure seemed like it with the pot smoking so rampant, you'd get a contact high from passing the rooms... and pretty odd and obviously psychiatric issues wandering past and occupying rooms. Had to change a room bc one of the psychiatric "guests" was stomping across the floor nonstop for hours. Yes hours. Nonstop. After 4 hours of it, (yes I asked the front desk to address it, but even the front desk guy looked pretty red eyed/glassy eyed and chose to do nothing) I was able to get a different room (after they previously told me they were sold out). And of course, wait for it... Like all hotels that read not very complementary reviews, expect that their response will be: denial, "wrong hotel," "you're mistaken, we have policies against that..." "we have no record of your stay." Etc. So probably zero accountability. But like I say, especially if you are using this hotel for a vacation, you might want to think about the hundreds of other choices in the area.   We stayed there for a night, next morning on Sunday we went to eat and there was No breakfast!! Only cereal and yogurt- Room had closet door broken and unsafe to walk by- Carpet smells- Old TV

  HORRID Front Desk Treatment; Comfortable Rooms

  One star review for the absolutely unacceptable front desk treatment. I checked out and the front desk young lady was unable and unwilling to print out my receipt, insisting I booked via a third party. I didn't. She probably said the same thing to me fifty times, not trying to problem solve. No attempt at customer service. No "thank you for staying at Sonesta," just a blank stare. Incapable of doing her job and treating me like an unwelcome guest. What bothers me is that they have INCOMPETENT people at the front; she gave me the blank, thousand yard stare and was incapable of handling my request. I've had to call corporate to escalate this simply because they bungled my reservation.The room was very comfortable. I slept well and enjoyed my business stay. Lots of special touches. Breakfast is good as well. It's too bad their front desk staff tarnishes the Sonesta experience at this property. This is probably a training problem, because the treatment I received left a bad impression. P.S. Charging $10 a day for parking is completely ridiculous and unnecessary. I suggest guests park on the street in the cul-de-sac.

  This is a lovely facility; clean and well-appointed. Our room had NO central air conditioning. It had a central fan which blew only warm air. It did have, in the bedroom, a small, portable AC unit that was, at best, ineffective. We arrived on a Saturday evening. Service at the front desk was perfunctory at best. There's ma $10 per day charge for parking on the open lot. Weren't aware of this extra charge at the beginning. On Sunday morning we went down to the free breakfast (a nice amenity). Despite signage, there were no muffins available; service on replenishing the other items was slow despite pretty significant demand. Since it's an Extended Stay suite hotel, there was in-room coffee which was, at best, tasteless. On the up side there was a workable microwave which we used repeatedly. While the stay wasn't terrible in general I can't recommend this facility and will not use it again.

  My 12 year old son left a very special LA Galaxy Ibrahimovic jersey and shorts in the hotel room. I called within 2 hours from when I checked out and asked if i could pay to have it shipped to me. I was told they would check with housekeeping and get back to me. I was very specific as to the exact location we left them. I have called three more times within a week of checking out. Every time it is as if it is the first time I am reporting this. Every time I get the same answer they will check with housekeeping. Clearly no one is checking. Very disappointed.
