    Had a great stay.

The location was great. The room was neat and clean. The front desk staff were especially helpful when it turned out I had booked for the wrong date and they were able to fix things for me on the fly without additional charge. I'm very grateful to Mia at the front desk.

Very cool hotel with old world charm and modern amenities.

Very cool hotel with old world charm and modern amenities. My favorite part was actually the three staircases that joined each floor. Good restaurants within walking distance and a Starbucks immediately outside was a bonus for me. Nice 24-hr gym, too. Great staff, too. I never thought the quality of the valet would make a difference, but every single on of them was top notch.

    Rude and Disgusting

    rating05 Jun 2026

Small claustrophobic rooms, ghetto atmosphere. Smells like still water the minute you enter the front door. The main attraction is absolutely the rude and disrespectful, condescending ah HOTEL STAFF! Even though you barely see them, you can guarantee the times that you do they will act stuck-up and rude.

Loved the Hotel, Hated the Parking

    rating31 May 2026

Location: 5/5Excellent location. It's about a 15-minute walk to the heart of Little Italy, close to the trolley line, and convenient to restaurants, attractions, and transportation. If you enjoy walking, it's a great home base for exploring San Diego.Atmosphere: 5/5This is a charming boutique hotel with a lot of character. If you prefer unique, smaller hotels over large chain properties, you'll likely enjoy it.Rooms: 5/5My room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the larger-than-expected refrigerator and microwave. The TV included YouTube and streaming apps, which allowed me to watch my son's MMA fight from the room.Value: 5/5Excellent value, especially over Memorial Day weekend when hotel rates are typically much higher. I felt I received a lot for the price.Cleanliness: 5/5Everything was clean and well-maintained. No complaints at all.Noise Level: 5/5Surprisingly quiet. I had no issues with noise during my stay.Service: 5/5The staff was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and consistently acknowledged guests with a smile.Amenities: 4/5This is a boutique hotel, so don't expect resort-style amenities like a pool. However, I loved the complimentary cold filtered water station, and the room amenities were excellent.Parking: 1/5Unfortunately, the parking situation is the hotel's biggest weakness. There are very few spaces available, no convenient area for guests to temporarily pull up during check-in, and it appears that parking passes may be sold beyond the number of available spaces. We paid for parking, left for the evening, and returned to find every spot full. If you're planning to bring a vehicle or have friends and family driving you around, be prepared for a frustrating experience.Overall: 4/5I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. The hotel is clean, comfortable, charming, and in a great location. If you don't need a vehicle, it's an easy recommendation. The parking situation is the only reason I couldn't give it a perfect score.
