Too trendy for this old guy

    rating07 Jun 2026

Trendy hotel in Times Square just not for the old guy. I prefer more in suite amenities like coffee in the room. Shower slippery with nothing to hold to (like I said, old guy). The upstairs bar has a great vibe. The location is terrific and yes, the bed is amazing. Marvellous just not my taste.

A peaceful base just off Time Square

    rating07 Jun 2026

A tranquil haven after the hustle and bustle of tourist life in the city. Friendly, helpful staff, a cool vibe and a great lobby for chilling in or having a night cap. We didn’t hear a peep from the city once inside. The bedroom was small but had all we needed and, as we didn’t spend much time in there aside from sleeping and getting ready, it was great value for money. A subway line to the airport was just outside the front door, as were numerous bakeries, restaurants, bars and shops.

Excellent choice for a solo traveler

    rating25 May 2026

First and foremost, the rooms are too small for two people (and we are not “big and tall”); especially, if you are used to your spacious home, but for a single traveler it is perfect! I travel to NYC frequently without my husband and I wouldn’t hesitate a minute to stay at this welcoming, efficient and modern hotel. The advantages are: Fabulous location far enough from Times Square not to hear and see all the hustle and bustle, two metro entrances steps away from the door, excellent Hell’s Kitchen restaurants nearby, and two minutes walk to the nearby Whole Foods supermarket. Very efficient room equipped with modern technology controls via iPad (easy to adjust the lights and open/close blinds) , small shower/toilet combo, but with excellent waterfall shower, nice design of the lobby with plenty of space to work and eat (we had a great sushi takeout enjoyed there on a rainy evening), welcoming service, fast elevators, free water (still and sparkling) in the dining area… We had a great stay and I will definitely be returning on my solo trips.

    Small Rooms but efficient

    rating18 May 2026

This Marriott brand has perfected getting the most out of a small space. The room reminds a bit of a cruise cabin but maybe even smaller. As a solo traveler, it was fine. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, nice shower and room controls handled by a handy tablet. The bed is king, however, it is perfectly set against the window and if I had wife in the bed, one of us would have to climb over the other if they needed to get up. If you need to be in Times Square, this is a great location as it is just off Broadway on 50th street. I was attending a conference at the Marriott Marquis and it was an easy walk. The staff is great and the lobby area has plenty of work spaces if you need them. I did not eat at the hotel.

    Extremely disappointing

    rating15 May 2026

This hotel is new to the Marriott family and is following the trend of extremely small rooms (like Motto, Tempo, etc.) but not a small price. My first stay was fine and the bed was very comfortable. However unlike other options I mention you actually check yourself in and make your own key.On my stay this week I had some questions and neither me nor Marriott customer service could get a human being on the phone during normal business hours. The room I was assigned to was terrible and I spoke to Matt who said he was the manager and while he agreed to cancel me with no penalty he couldn't refund my Bonvoy points used and blamed a lack of understanding of Marriott systems and told me to take it up with them. I asked for management email and he gave me an email address that he misspelled and I eventually wrote to Olivia Zeis.I don't mind having to do self service but it's a hotel and you still need a few competent human beings to work there. I do not recommend this hotel and based on the way my concerns were dismissed and ignored by Matt (manager) I wish it wasn't part of Marriott's portfolio with a total lack of adherence to Marriott's brand standards.
