Location

This hotel is directly connected to the Westlake Center and its 80 speciality shops and restaurants. The Monorail Terminal for transportation to Seattle city centre, the Space Needle and Experience Music Project is on the top level of Westlake Center. Guests will find the Pike Place Market a 5-minute walk away and metro buses are free in downtown Seattle providing quick and easy access to the Waterfront, Pioneer Square and the sports stadiums.

Facility

The hotel has 2 junior suites, 26 suites, 112 single rooms and 20 double rooms, which are located on 12 storeys and are reachable by 2 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel offers a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Complimentary newspapers are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

The outdoor pool complex provides invigorating refreshment. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including a gym, aerobics and a spa.

Meals

    We were on our way to an Alaskan cruise via Seattle. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The food in Oliver's Restaurant was excellant! Their staff members were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is just 3 blocks from Pike Place Market.     It was a great experience staying with this hotel. The receptionists were super kind, communicative, and supportive. I wish I could had more amenities in the room, including disposable toothbrushes, tooth paste, and comb.     Stately property in great location. Needs some updates but bed was very comfortable and unit was very clean. Bathroom is really small but for a short stay it was fine. Would not be acceptable if I was with traveling as a couple. Staff was courteous and welcome drink was a surprise and thoughtful.     Cold “Welcome to America”

    Solo, older traveller checking in mid-evening on 27th May after a ten hour flight from the UK. The young man happily flirted with the young woman ahead of me (there were only two of us waiting to check in). However, I drew the short straw with this one; no hello, ‘smalltalk’ or greeting for me. It took sixty seconds to glance at my passport, respond to a question abruptly and plonk my passport and room key on the desk. Not even a “Have a nice stay” - and I thought such courtesy was invented here! Disgraceful. Cynically, I wondered if having to deal with an old guy after the young lady in a line of just two people was simply my own, unfortunate timing. To Managemet: please tell your staff that they only ever get ONE CHANCE to make a FIRST IMPRESSION. That, annoyingly, was mine and it was a stay spoiled before it had even begun for me. After that, I avoided the front desk until my escape a few days later… just in case!     Misleading impressions on 'free' perks

    When you check in at the hotel, you are given a voucher for a welcome drink, giving the impression that it is free. There is a notice in the room, saying that you get two bottles of water a day, again giving the impression that it is free, and that you pay for any more. The hotel's website gives the impression that the Internet (the signal for which is variable) is free. Upon checking out, your bill includes an extra charge of $20 per day 'Destination Fee' which was explained as free Internet, welcome drink, daily bottled water, plus use of the gym, and coffee in the lobby. So beware - those things are not 'free' - you are actually paying for them.Our room, which was nice and quiet, had a shower with antiquated controls. The male receptionists were unsmiling, made up for by the females, particularly Alexis. The breakfast was excellent, and served efficiently and cheerily.
