    Overall, our most recent stay at Hampton Inn Tampa Downtown Channel District was excellent. The facilities were beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The location was incredibly convenient, within walking distance to nearby stores, and with the port close by, plus the added bonus of a free shuttle to the Port of Tampa.What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but Colin went above and beyond by assisting me even before I arrived in Tampa, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others visiting the area.     Nothing beats good customer service. Kindness is underrated as soon as me and my grand daughter entered the door we were greeted and was treated with respect. They also accommodated us from the room that was chosen and gave us a room that was already finished. If you cruise they have a shuttle that takes you to the port( you must ask to be scheduled). There are a lot of establishments near and within walking distance ( especially if you have a gimpy knee and a little people with you).The room was clean and even housekeeping spoke when we got to our room. We placed a heart in the app as a fav so anytime we cruise from Tampa this will be the hotel of choice.     Located in a nice section of town. Very walkable to the cruise port. Across the street from CVS which is convenient for those last minute purchases. Clean & well appointed rooms. Tons of USB Chargers. Breakfast was fine; typical hotel breakfast. Digital key worked great. Checked in & out via app. Would stay here again.     Terrific location for pre or post cruise stay!

    My wife and I stayed here for 1 night prior to our cruise in January 2026. Check-in process was extremely fast and the young lady at the desk was very friendly. The location is perfect if you are leaving on a cruise. Our ship was leaving from cruise terminal 6 and it was literally 2 blocks away. Better yet, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the cruise terminals!!The room was very clean and well maintained. The buffet style breakfast, which was included with our room, was very good and more than met our needs. The shuttle service to the cruise ship was well organized and ran on time.We would certainly stay here again if we are sailing from Tampa.     Great spot for stopover before boarding cruise ship.

    *Hotel was conveniently located to the cruise terminal with a free shuttle included on the morning of our cruise.*Hotel is conveniently located to the free trolley that can take you to Ybor City (eat at the Columbia- so good!) or downtown.*Breakfast gets VERY crowded in the last hour that it is open. Be sure to go early if you don't want to stand in the line that can extend back to the elevators.*Staff are all very friendly, helpful, and accomodating.*Nice 6th floor pool.*Would recommend to anyone sailing out of the Tampa port.
