    We had a pleasant stay here. The hotel is really convenient for accessing DC via the metro which is a short drive away. The hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle to the Franconia-Springfield metro station, but as we were visiting at the weekend and parking at the station is free on weekends, we drove. The room was clean and comfortable, housekeeping was very good and complimentary Dove toiletries is a nice touch. We enjoyed the benefits of free parking and an excellent complimentary breakfast which featured a good range of hot and cold options, sufficent to get the day off to a good start. There are several restaurants within a 10 minute walk, as well at grocery stores, so the location of the hotel is very good and in a safe walkable area. All in all a very satisfactory stay and we would happily return and can recommend to others.

    I have always had good experiences with Holiday Inn Express & this one proved to be the best of all. The staff is remarkable! This was an 8 day stay with even the most minor of concerns addressed promptly. The room was clean and every member of this staff was at the top of their game. For a sight-seeing vacation in the D.C. area, the location is perfect: far enough out to mitigate traffic issues for points of interest beyond the Belt Way with the hotel offering a free shuttle to the nearby Metro Station to get into The District. Free parking is a Godsend and unusual for the area as well. Breakfast is far better than expected and consistent with quality. To be sure, this is not a five star resort, but the levels of customer care are on parr with one. Everyone here was so friendly, always asking if there was anything else they could do to improve our experience. If you are looking for real value for the money, this is probably the best in the area.
