    An overall pleasant experience with a friendly staff. Loved the shuttle option from and to union station. An up and coming neighborhood with a nice selection of restaurants.

    Great hotel! The staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The location was also great! The hotel shuttle was a huge help for us. We didn't experience any issues at all. The breakfast was great. We have already made plans to return to this hotel in March 2026.

    If you’re looking for a hotel where marijuana smoke lingers in the halls and elevators like it’s part of the décor, Homewood Suites in DC might be for you. We stayed for a full week and encountered the smell daily—despite reporting it repeatedly, nothing changed.Laundry facilities are free, which sounds great—until you see the thick black mold in all three machines. Two are especially bad and should be pulled from service immediately. Who wants to wash clean clothes in mold?Our room had its own problems: • The AC shut off every night. We’d wake up sweating, restart it, and repeat—despite multiple maintenance requests. • Some towels arrived stained. • One chair had a large hole in the arm and wouldn’t adjust. • Furniture sagged, the bathroom door was grimy, and we had to rewash all kitchen supplies before use. We eventually bought disposable items for peace of mind.The breakfast area was a hygiene nightmare. The glass cabinet doors were smeared, and the glassware inside was so dusty you could write your name in it. Tiles behind the serving area were splattered with dried food. Smudges, crumbs, and dust bunnies were everywhere. It felt far from clean and far from appetizing.The only redeeming part? The staff were friendly. But unfortunately, a smile doesn’t solve a long list of health and comfort issues.Would we stay here again? No. Too many overlooked problems and not enough attention to cleanliness and guest comfort.

    Mary Jane is in the house!

    If you like the aroma of Mary Jane clinging to you, showers that are a surprise temperature every minute that you have to wade out of, this is the place for you! Obviously the no smoking policy doesn't apply to pot and we weren't the only one with a continuous clogged drain but the hotel was clean and staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.     Great Stay, Great Staff

    My travel agent set us up to stay here and it was a great stay. We spent 5 nights here and the room was clean, spacious and quiet. We used Uber easily from this area and they have a shuttle that goes to Union Station. They had a nice breakfast each morning - the options were simple and nearly the same each day but it was plenty for us to start the day. We were there for one evening social and the food was light with beer and wine being served. Our beds were clean and comfortable. Shower pressure wasn't strong but got the job done. The staff - they were so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed their kind personalities.
