    Put your pajamas in the safe

    My pajama got stolen. Apparently housekeeping took it by mistake when they changed the sheets. Marriott never acknowledged the error nor try to find a solution. After submitting a lost property claim they called saying it is MY FAULT for not using the safe. According to them, in DC they can take anything they want from your room and are not responsible for anything that isn't inside the safe or in their custody at the security office. Insane!

    Wonderful hotel with everything perfect but the wallet will suffer. Yes, it's relatively close to the Mall (recommend the Trolley On/Off Tour bus with a stop about 3 blocks away). Yes, if you get access to the concierge floor, the free breakfast and evening lite food is remarkable and expansive. (Grab extra waters as the tap water is chlorine pool flavored.) Paid breakfast is pricey and you can save money across the street at the Henley Park hotel right across the street - which is also a less expensive alternative hotel. In conclusion, it's an expensive hotel (which many are in DC) but has no faults.

    Rooms were very clean and staff let us check in early so we can put our bags and in the room. We appreciated heir hospitality and kindness

    Pros: M Club has pretty extensive breakfast and happy hour spread, including fresh fruit, gym is very large for a hotel. Cons: musty rooms, doesn't honor status late checkout, no longer has Netflix streaming on TV.     Disappointing Stay, Poor Customer Service, Forced to Downgrade Due To Occupancy Issues, Dirty Room, Safety Concerns

    We had a very disappointing experience during a recent stay that fell far below expectations.We booked a king room in advance, but upon arrival, we were informed that our reservation had been changed without our consent to a hospitality suite. Unfortunately, the room was not in acceptable condition. It was visibly unclean (including sticky residue on cabinet handles), and the Murphy bed—advertised as a queen—was significantly smaller and uncomfortable. Even more concerning, there were exposed electrical components visible through the outlets, which raised serious safety concerns.We brought these issues to the manager on duty, Faye, who informed us no other rooms were available. While a refund was offered, that wasn’t a practical solution given the circumstances. She instead offered points and a beverage credit and advised us to return if we continued to have issues.Later that evening, the bed proved too uncomfortable to sleep on, so we returned to the front desk and were assisted by Lucia. Unfortunately, that interaction was dismissive and unprofessional. She stated that we had agreed to the room, questioned why we were raising concerns again, and informed us that we would no longer receive the previously offered points.The valet experience added to the frustration—there was a long wait to retrieve our car, and after waiting, we were incorrectly told we hadn’t paid, despite being told the cost would be covered.Overall, this experience raised serious concerns about cleanliness, safety, and customer service. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to address these issues moving forward.
