Hidden Fees, Sleepless Night, and Disappointing Service

    rating14 Jun 2026

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay here on June 14 was extremely disappointing.First, I booked through Priceline under the impression that I had already paid all required charges. However, when I arrived, I was asked to pay an additional fee that had never been disclosed during the booking process. Whether this was Priceline's fault or the hotel's failure to provide accurate information, it felt misleading and deceptive.Second, I barely slept because of the excessive noise throughout the night. A hotel's most basic responsibility is to provide guests with a clean, quiet place to rest, and unfortunately, that standard was not met.To make matters worse, the hair dryer in my room did not work at all. What disappointed me the most, however, was the lack of accommodation for a simple request. While waiting in the lobby, I politely asked whether there was a quiet corner where I could pray for five minutes. I was told there was no place available and that staff were not allowed to accommodate such requests. I was not asking for special treatment—just a small space for a brief moment of prayer. In a city as diverse and welcoming as our nation's capital, I expected a more understanding response.Between the undisclosed fees, sleepless night, broken amenities, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves the experience for future guests.

    The worst hotel experience

    rating27 May 2026

Very disappointing experience. We discovered dirty sheets and a stained comforter in our room late at night after returning exhausted, leaving us with no real option other than trying to sleep without using the bedding. It was uncomfortable, cold, and honestly unacceptable for a hotel stay. On top of that, the heater/AC unit was extremely loud throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. We emailed the hotel manager directly with photos and explained the situation, but they took no responsibility and showed little to no concern about the issue. The response lacked accountability and customer care, which made the experience even worse.Cleanliness and basic customer service should be expected at any hotel. Unfortunately, this stay fell far below expectations.

It was probably great once but now it’s tired and not great value

    rating25 May 2026

It’s well past its best for the money you pay. Big flat screens are great unless the walls are paper thin and you have to listen to next door’s entertainment. The rooms are clean and functional but tired. The beds are good but the aircon makes an incredible racket though fortunately loud enough to help drown out the noise next door. Staff are welcoming but the phones in the rooms don’t work so you can’t ring for service and if you ring the external number printed on the phone it’s out of date, much like the general state of the hotel.

Solid St Gregory week Stay - solo traveler

    rating28 Mar 2026

Spacious rooms, super clean and friendly staff. Love that the windows open in room and the gym is Will equipped, and usually not many people there. It was like I had my own gym to myself. The biggest problem is the air conditioning/heating unit. It really needs to be attended to. It's annoying. It makes a ton of noise and the only way that I could deal with the Room and sleep was ask team to turn it off completely for the five days I was there. The good thing was that. It was neither too cold, nor too warm, but I got lucky. The events are a real problem. The breakfast that's included is fantastic and nourishing and filling. Great location within walking distance to Georgetown Dupont Circle, and Pennsylvania Avenue. The Cost value benefit is not great. I feel it is a bit over priced for what it offers. Compared to other hotels of the same ranking and price structure.

    Praise for Teddy

    rating19 Mar 2026

Hotel was nice, the people next door were loud but other than that it was a great experience. What really brought light was the doorman Teddy. He was the nicest doorman I’ve ever encourntered! Me and my family grew a nice friendship with him and he made our trip truly special.
