  Great stay in central Ho Chi Minh city

  I had a fairly pleasant experience at A25 Hotel located at 29 Bui Thi Xuan. The staff were very enthusiastic, friendly, and responded quickly to any requests I had. The room was fully equipped with amenities such as a hairdryer, electric kettle, and a safe. However, since the hotel is located right in the city center, the room was a bit small—more suitable for business travelers or short stays.One big plus was the breakfast, which was quite diverse. The area around the hotel is quiet and not affected by traffic noise, making it easy to relax and rest. Additionally, there is a convenient minimart nearby, making it easy to shop for any essentials.Overall, this is a good choice if you're looking to stay in the center of Ho Chi Minh City at a reasonable price, with decent service and a clean, quiet environment.   Unfortunate bait and switch. Rough start to a holiday!

  When you spend an hour looking for the perfect hotel, there’s nothing more frustrating than a bait and switch! Getting off my flight, excited for the holiday weekend in what appeared by photos to be a lovely room. Arriving at the front desk, the receptionist had a look of shear panic. A few phone calls, and lots of time waiting.. she comes back to me. “Ok. We have your room.” But she did not have my room. It was a small, filthy, windowless room. I will say that the bathroom opened up to an dark air shaft. I went back downstairs. “This is not the room I booked.” How did I know that? Because of course I’d rejected much less expensive rooms for the reason of not having windows! I asked for the room I booked. Instead she offers me to reach out to the reservation platform for a refund. They of course refuse a refund, and now in a very fun holiday credit card dispute process. I booked another hotel nearby that was *stunning* for the same price. I hope this review helps others to spare the headache and expense of booking here. So many great hotels in HCMC. Just not here.   Good size rooms and well laid out, we got a junior suite and it had a both room at either ends, good breakfast and good position in District 1 which is really the centre of Ho Chi Mihn City not far from anything you need to do and a helpful tourist advisor.   Outlets that don't work, prices that rise by 15% when you ask for a window. Messages that say if you check in after 4 they will give the room away. I realize that most of this is Booking.com that tries to paint everything as perfect and wonderful. Beware, sometimes you don't get what you pay for.   Worst experience in Vietnam

  Two weeks in Vietnam and this was by far the worst experience we had. We arrived late at night and the receptionist told us that we had no reservation (even though our agency had reserved it for us and we had the receipt) and the hotel was fully booked. After some negotiation, an available room magically appeared, but not so magically it was awful. Water was leaking from the ceiling at the bathroom, which btw was full of mold. The room was full in small insects, which we could feel them in our bed and in combination with the noise coming from outside, we were kept up all night. After complaints and with the intervention of our agency they upgraded us to a suite, which was decent. When proceeding to the checkout they charged us for 4 bottles of water (2 from each room), even though everywhere we have stayed before they were included in the price of the room.Lastly, the woman at the reception was really rude. We asked if we could pay with euros and she agreed, but forgot to mention that she would keep a 10% commission !! When telling her this is unacceptable, she just threw the money on our face and told us to go change them elsewhere. The only positive I can say about this hotel is that the young man working at the door was really kind and cheerful. There are far superior places in HCMC. Don’t waste your time and your money there.
