  Very disappointed with how I was treated inDistrict 5 will never stay in that district again

  Do not buy anything from local shops they will reap any tourist who try's to buy from them. I was staying at Dong Kinh hotel in District 5 from Aug 9-19th. As a tourist I try to support local businesses but can not believe the convince shop across the hotel charge me VND50,000 for a packet of cigarettes thinking that I cannot understand Vietnamese,and when I asked for change they told me the price the was advertised in front of there shop is old.

  I came here and rented the room quite well. But because the receptionist's attitude didn't respect his customers, I was quite upset about that. Moreover, my bed is very dusty so I'm very disappointed.

  A VERY CHEAP A HOTEL!

  [Location] It was just fine, around 15-20 on motorbike to the city center. There are some fast-food stores, some coffee shops and a bakery near by. There seems to be no parking lot for car and just a very limited space for motorbikes. [Staff] They do speak some English, but don't fancy something extraordinary. The way they handle the payment is super unprofessional. They keep repeating about the payment from the moment I walked in the hotel til I paid and checked out. So irritating! They should have known that a decent hotel only asks for payment at checkout time instead of treating their guests like debtors! [Cleanness] This is the only positive side of the room. [Amenities] Very very very basic. The elevator and the room itself had the smell like they haven't been used for decades. Had to wait ages for the hot water to be hot. Water pressure was great. Door lock seemed to be not very safe.Bed wass comfortable enough. [Price] I reckon that what I had to pay wasuch higher for what I get.

  Do not stay here! I booked here by mistake (same name different district) when I arrived the staff could not speak any English and I Spent 30 minutes on google translate trying to ask to Book a tour. When I went to the room on the second floor it was dirty the cups had not been washed and there where hairs on them...strange no kettle? Butbtheyvdudbtbunderstand what a kettle was. The bathroom small and dirty with no covering on the ceiling light and ceiling tiles stained and lifted, the Windows rattled constantly.I stayed here literally 30 minutes before checking out and I'm glad I did it was that or fly home! If you look for the same name hotel make sure it's in district 1

  Not great- get what you pay for

  As much as the staff were polite, none could speak much English apart from a few words. Whilst not vital, there were no maps of the city, or any other information so we were really stuck. The location is poor- it's quite far from the tourist areas. I saw no other tourists in the area. The room was ok, but we were on the 4th floor and cockroaches and geckos were still crawling around our room. You get what you pay for but it wasn't great for us.
