    Lacks some basic in-room facilities

    This hotel looks nice from the outside and the rooms are airy and spacious. But a few amenities are lacking. There is no drinking water provided, except at a cost, and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom hand basin has no bench space on which to place a toilet bag. There is no in-room safe. As we are on a tour, i am unsure of the room rate, so can't assess value for money. The hotel is conveniently located in the town, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and cafes.

    had a wonderful stay at Portik Hotel in Berat! The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the old town. The staff were extremely kind and helpful during my entire stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast – everything was fresh and delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the city. I truly felt welcomed and relaxed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat

    Slightly old fashioned hotel, BUT excellent service.Erik was incredibly helpful and gave great service. Great guy!Fabulous rooftop restaurant with great views. Food was fine.Had evening meal elswhere as special event at hotel - a bit annoying!

    Modern and fairly recently built, this hotel promises a lot but my experience showed that it often fails to deliver. My room was not ready for 3 hours on arrival, despite being told I would have a wait of one and a half. The few staff I saw seemed indifferent. Rooms are large but strangely despite apparent double glazing there was noise from the street outside. Bed comfortable. Breakfast nothing to write home about but served in the rooftop restaurant which has great views of Berat, which is indeed a lovely and interesting place.

    Very nice hotel in the historic center of Berat. All touristic locations are on walking distance except for the castle. Very nice rooms, clean and modern. Friendly personnel. Good restaurant with local dishes. Great view on the historic district.
