  Modern hotel (very weird layout) but didn’t feel at all four star

  I ended up at the Grand Hotel Saranda unexpectedly after my original hotel overbooked, and overall it was a mixed stay. This property definitely caters to a slightly younger crowd looking for a pool and beach party atmosphere—the beach bar is open to the public I believe, and the club plays music until midnight (which you will hear clearly from your room).The Layout & FacilitiesThe layout of the property is a bit unusual and somewhat inefficient. You enter at street level, but to reach the breakfast area on Floor 0, you have to take the lift down as there are no stairs inside the property. Given that the hotel spans 4 floors with around 9 rooms per floor, the tiny single lift is not really adequately for the number of guests and it’s also shared by cleaning staff. From Floor 0, reaching the pool area and beach bar requires walking out through part of the car park (or you can walk down the outdoor steps from street level or if you’re lucky, on ground floor they have steps outside if a door is open). On a positive note, the breakfast served was actually very good—a noticeable step up from the hotel I was originally booked into!The pool area is decent as is the sea access (steps down into the water from a deck). But it was definitely busier than we anticipated since we barely saw many people at breakfast and the older clientele looked slightly shell shocked at the atmosphere. Corridors & MaintenanceThe upkeep in the common areas leaves a bit to be desired. On the 1st floor, the walls are noticeably scuffed with some poor-quality patch paintwork. Worse still, the door to the room next to ours looked like it had been kicked in, and a vacuum cleaner was left sitting out in the hallway for the entire day (from 8 am to 10 pm). Definitely not 4-star vibes. Room 108 ReviewThe room itself is modern, but very tight—there is barely enough space to walk around the bed or reach the balcony door. On the plus side, the bathroom is surprisingly large with a good-sized shower, mini toiletries (though they provide tiny wrapped hard soaps rather than liquid soap for the sink). Two of the walls are full glass, making the room heat up like a greenhouse during the day. Thankfully, the air conditioning works very well to offset this. Balcony & View: The balcony is spacious (though it contains a random, oversized plant pot), but you have to look over the neighboring balcony to catch a view of the sea. Again, contributing to the weird layout experience. The memory foam pillows are a great touch, and the TV allows you to log into your own streaming accounts like Netflix.If you want a smaller hotel with a good breakfast and a beach club vibe right on site, this place fits the bill. However, if you are looking for a quiet retreat, with a more traditional layout and expect four star service this is not the place for you. Personally, I wouldn’t return but then again I wouldn’t have booked this hotel in the first place as I was forced to stay here due to a hiccup at my original hotel.

  Lovely, beautiful and relaxing stay in Saranda!

  The location was excellent, just a quick walk into the harbour area of Saranda, and the sea is just at the front of the hotel, I loved diving into it off their private pier. The staff were amazing, very friendly and most helpful and this created a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Check in and out was swift and straightforward. The reception, rooms, restaurant and pool bar area were all spotless. We arrived by taxi and were dropped right outside the hotel and greeted by staff. The breakfast was of good quality and plentiful every morning. I loved my sea view room, it was so relaxing staying there. Would highly recommend, and felt it was good value for money for the views, the staff and the amenities. The bar did an excellent Aperol Spritz too!

  We had an amazing experience at Grand Hotel Saranda. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the service was great throughout our stay. The seafood was fresh and delicious , a real highlight! We loved the direct access to the sea, perfect for a morning swim, and the on-site nightclub added great energy to our evenings. Highly recommended for both relaxation and fun!

  We love the place!!!! Very good service en excellent staff. Very welcome too lay on the sunbeds. Have drinks en eat delicious food from the grand master in meat and fish Mandir. Go to this fabulous place and enjoy the great service. We come back for sure!!!!

  The restourant was perfect the view was great and the food was delicious also the bar was amazing and we had too much fun. The staff was really helpful. Henri who works at restaurant was very skillful and we enjoyed his service . I cant recommend this place enough .
