A relaxing stay with warm hospitality and stunning views?????????

    rating01 Sept 2026

We had a wonderful stay at Bahamas Hotel in Sarandë. The hotel was beautiful, but what impressed us the most was the breathtaking view. ???The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Mrs. Roji, who was always smiling and went out of her way to help us with many things during our stay. Her kindness and hospitality made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We also had the chance to enjoy a wonderful traditional Albanian music and dance performance at the hotel. It was such a special experience and made our stay even more memorable. ??????Thank you to everyone at Bahamas Hotel for making our stay so lovely. We would definitely love to come back again! ??

    Terrific stay

I was here with my sister in July. Everything was just perfect starting from the service; the staff were very attentive to us. The breakfast was very delicious. It had a lot of variety. Very noteworthy was the extra large swimming pool we loved it. We also had complementary sun beds in the private beach. I loved it over there. It was so calm and so clean. In the afternoons people would also gather and play volleyball . It was such a fun time. We hope that we will come back again next year.

The hotel is owned by an Albanian family. Very friendly. We had a room with seaview and its breathtaking. Room itself its very outdated, bathroom is very standard and it’s smells like sewer. I dont like to take long shower there because it just not comfortabel. I dont think they clean the bathroom very well. I always use my flipflop to shower. The 2 persons bed dont feel comfy. But the 1 personbed, is nice. The breakfast was ok. The swimmingpool and access to private beach make it all happened! We love it ! But the stairs from the beach to hotel …you must have strong legs ! I had muscle ache after 2 days !

    A gorgeous location

    rating31 Jul 2026

I would not say it was 4* in terms of the 4 stars I have stayed in previously but it grew on me and has great potential. The ladies at check in/reception are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in a family room, they are clean and comfortable with a great shower. The plus is the family rooms have access to two toilet and shower areas which is brilliant with a large family. The beds consisted of 3 singles and a large king bed in each suite. There are kettles in the rooms and a mini fridge although no tea/coffee or any sort of welcome drink is supplied. It would be a great addition if they added a small selection to the rooms and topped them up as required. I really missed having a late night hot drink before bed. The cleaners do a great job of refreshing the rooms and towels daily. The pool towels are available for 1 euro per towel. I have never had to pay for them at any 4 star hotels previously so this was a surprise. The hotel itself is in a beautiful location with direct beach access however if you want to get into the centre of Sarande you need access to a car or pay for a taxi which could soon add up cost wise. The breakfast was nice - fresh bread and croissants, watermelon, eggs, yoghurt and cereals. I decided not to eat the meat or the cheese - this is left open on the counter for an unknown time period and I witnessed numerous flies and wasps landing on the food. They could benefit from purchasing some roll top covers or hygienic guards to place the food out under. A wider range of fruit and some different types of yoghurt would be a great addition to the breakfast and elevate it some more. Keeping the cups, cutlery and food replenished better would be better too, food options were often sat empty and took a while to be replenished or not at all. Signs to say what the items were would be great. Yes you can tell by looking at most but some of the more traditional items you would not know. Cups at the juice station always seemed to run out and they would restock with 6-12 glasses and they were gone again. I can’t work out why they don’t use the breakfast space to serve lunches and dinners too. We asked when it was windy if we could eat up stairs and it wasn’t possible. Breakfast is served 7.30-9.30 which I think is early when on holiday. I was in just finishing my drink one day just before 9:30am and the waiter knocked the lights off in the breakfast room. It still had at least 10 families in at this point too. It seemed rude and unnecessary. The lights could have been left on and slowly removing the breakfast items whilst families finished up would have been more tactful. The service can be slow however the waiters are friendly. We waited 40 minutes one day for two cocktails which by that point we had moved from the pool side to the pool bar to order dinner. It would benefit the hotel more in my opinion if they kept the pool bar area fully stocked and had a staff member in that area the whole time the pool was open. This would encourage more guests to spend money and provide quicker service. Sitting by the pool and thinking you have to get up to go inside the hotel to place an order for a drink or try and catch a member of staff sometimes meant you just didn’t bother. The food is delicious - we had meat and chips, salads, pizza, pasta dishes and soups throughout our stay. The pool area is great and the children absolutely loved it. There is also a small play park area with slide and swings for toddlers. It’s a real shame the games room is no longer in use, with the hotel not having any sort of entertainment this would be beneficial for guests and would encourage more downstairs on an evening thus ordering drinks at the bar. Parking unless you want to pay a premium for a flat area right next to the hotel entrance is a cobbled/soil area on a slope next to the hotel. Overall we had a lovely stay just some improvements could be made.

Last stop of our Albanian trip but unfortunately the worst hotel experience . Except the lady at the reception .

The hotel is old and very poorly maintained. The path leading to the pool is a dumping ground and is actually very dangerous for children. Beds are being stored on the upper floors right in front of the guest room doors. The broken balcony dividers are also very dangerous and have sharp edges. And what can I say about breakfast? It’s served until 9:30; after that, they even turn off the lights—the first time I’ve ever seen that. As for the food, everything looked stale and had an off taste. The coffee machine was broken, and no one would heat up some milk for me; I had to go down and complain at the front desk just to get them to deign to prepare some milk. And the coffee? Just a jar of Nescafé. The staff weren't friendly or welcoming at all—except for the young lady at the front desk who handled our check-in. Horrible.
