We made a reservation, arrived and it was full. Without any apologies we were told to go somewhere else and had to go back into the Tirana traffic. Not a great start for our Albania trip. Once we arrived at the other place they had no idea we were coming.

They canceled my booking the day before arrival without any reason.Don't book direct from thier own page, instead book from booking.com or another platform so they will not be able to cancel without any reason.

Located just a short walk from the main square this hotels location is possibly it's main plus point. We arrived at midnight and the check in was very speedy. Unfortunately we were on the second floor and with no lift we had to heave our luggage up the stone staircase. Access to the room is via the old fashioned regular key. The room it has to be said was in dire need of a renovation, the sink had very little enamel left on it, a double socket was hanging from the wall, a pane of glass was cracked and the television did not work. On the plus side there was a kettle and the air conditioning was in good working order.Breakfast was included but this was probably our biggest disappointment. Fried eggs were overcooked, other cooked items looked like they had been out for sometime and kept at tepid temperatures, some meats and cheeses were kept chilled whilst some items were not. There was a coffee machine but the lattes, cappuccinos etc were of a very poor quality. After the second morning we decided to eat elsewhere for breakfast. On another plus points all the staff who we engaged with were very pleasant and always willing to help, there was a minibar with very reasonably priced alcohol etc and the wifi signal was very good.

Beware of getting scammed

We had this hotel booked for 12 nights with Hotels.com and opted to pay at the hotel. Big mistake! The total after conversion was about 30 per cent higher. We did not get the room that we booked either, even though we paid for a much better, bigger room. After our stay they reported to Hotels.com that we only stayed one night and at half the price that we paid per day. There went 11 reward stamps. Then they claimed that we only stayed in the small room for two hours while waiting for the room that we booked, so no compensation! It was actually 12 days! Beware of that friendly lady at the front desk. Better yet, don’t book this hotel!

The worst management

This was going to be my second stay at the hotel. I booked it directly on their website and obtained a confirmation e-mail. When I arrived at the hotel, I was asked to leave because there was no room for me. They just didn't care about me being left in the streets at 17:30. Everything done through an employee and no one from the management dared to show up. I own a travel agency and of course, I will never again use the property and will discourage anyone to use the property.
