  A great place to stay in Tiranë.

  La Boheme is an excellent hotel in Tiranë. The staff and warm and welcoming, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is simple but tasty and plentiful. The location is in a great area and walkable to the centre of town. The only thing to mention is the lift! It is a glass lift on the outside of the building and it feels like you are going to fly off the top! It’s fine once you get used to it.Highly recommend

  Does not remotely correspond to a 4-star hotelOur experience at La Boheme Hotel in Tirana was extremely disappointing, to the point that we decided to leave the hotel.The hotel is currently undergoing renovation work and, during our stay, we had serious concerns regarding both safety and accessibility. The accommodation is located high up in the building — in our case on the 10th floor — and access is either via a glass lift or a long staircase. For an elderly person or someone with reduced mobility, we found the accessibility particularly poor and impractical.It is difficult to understand how an establishment marketed as a four-star hotel can be presented in these conditions.The room was clearly outdated, with carpeting, furnishings and finishes in need of considerable refurbishment. We also found bed linen that did not appear to be properly clean and towels that were extremely worn, frayed and in a condition entirely inappropriate for the advertised category. The photographs speak for themselves.Breakfast did nothing to improve our impression. The so-called buffet is served in a street-level establishment, separate from what one would reasonably expect to be the dining area of a hotel of this category. We found the presentation very poor and the choice extremely limited.What concerned us most, however, was the combination of ongoing building work, the hotel’s location on a high floor, the access arrangements and the difficulties that an elderly guest or someone with reduced mobility could encounter when moving around the property.A four-star rating should not simply be something displayed on a booking platform. It should be reflected in maintenance, cleanliness, services, accessibility, perceived safety and the overall standard of care provided to guests.In our case, the difference between what we expected and what we actually found was so significant that we decided to leave and find alternative accommodation.Based solely on our own experience during this stay, I cannot recommend La Boheme Hotel. In its current condition, it falls extraordinarily far short of what I would reasonably expect from a hotel advertised as four-star.

  Lovely little boutique hotel located in the heart of Tirana!

  My husband and I stayed at the La Boheme hotel in the Blloku area of Tirana at the start of August and had the absolute best time.The hotel itself is on the 10th floor of a building right in the heart of Tirana in the Blloku area, about a 15min walk from Skanderberg square and also about a 15min walk in the opposite direction to Lake Bovilla.The hotel itself really surprised me as although I had read many great reviews on Trip Adviser, it exceeded my expectations as the pictures online do not do it any justice.Upon arrival at the hotel, there is only a small sign outside of a row of shops, where you enter, go up on a glass elevator with spectacular views of the city to the 10th floor to where the reception area is.The reception staff were so friendly and super informative, we enjoyed our daily chats with the Morning, Afternoon and nightshift staff lol! The room itself was beautiful and very spacious with a large window and a view overlooking the city! It was a joy wakening up every Morning to the stunning view!There are plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep with Blloku being the most vibrant part of Tirana for bars and clubs, although down at the Castle area near Skanderberg square you will also find plenty of beautiful restaurants to choose from.In the Evening, we would walk to the Castle area for food and a couple of drinks and then later in the Evening we would walk back to Blloku to the bars nearer the hotel – it was fab!The Castle area was beautiful in the Evening all lit up and felt like a mix between Croatia and Italy!We found some of the bars in Blloku to be quite boujee and classy which we liked and then you also had your more relaxed bars like an Irish bar, a rock bar and a couple of night clubs, so definitely something for everyone!We loved our stay at the La Boheme hotel and would 100% return!We would describe Tirana as being extremely safe and people very friendly.Food is very reasonably priced, however drinks were priced not much differently from here in the UK. Cocktails maybe a little cheaper in places at around €6-€10each, however we had some of the tastiest cocktails we have ever had, so no cheap brands used in the bars!A couple of musts to do:Go to the Dajti Ekspres cable cars which take you up to Mount DatjiIf you want a chilled pool party, take a taxi up into the mountains to Select Hill Hotel, located about 20mins drive from the Hotel, which was a great day! They play music around the pool from 10am until 9pm and from Thu-Sun have a Dj play a set in the afternoon. I pre-booked a bed and drinks package before going and we loved it! All in all, we loved everything Tirana had to offer and are now looking at returning to visit the South!Go, you will not be disappointed!

  Great staff make this hotel

  The staff at this lovely hotel make your stay, the ladies who look after the rooms are extremely through room always clean with crisp bed linen and towels, the reception staff Mirel & Armel are just fab nothing is to much for them, such helpful people, the location is very good close to everything, breakfast is ok, some of it could be a little hotter, but fresh fruit & yogurt every day, a few options of hot food, one day we were leaving before breakfast started a packed breakfast was waiting for us at reception, would defiantly recommend this hotel!my only wish list would be an outside space but as the hotel starts on the 10th floor its not viable, unless a roof garden could be built.

  A friendly well-placed hotel in Tirana

  This hotel is very central, had good prices, very comfortable rooms, and an excellent and efficient receptionist who spoke perfect English. Parking was available internally so that was very positive . The only complaint related to breakfast which fell beyond our expectations (e.g.i had two fried eggs served cold), but I understand that this matter will be resolveded once the new restaurant is completed. Otherwise it is very recommendable. A good base to visit Tirana.
