  - Star Hotel aka No Star Hotel Unprofessional service and completely inappropriate behavior. We cancelled our booking immediately due to how we were treated. A member of our group experienced severe medical distress (a sudden gastrointestinal illness) and rushed to the front desk to ask for a restroom. Instead of helping, the staff yelled at them, treated them with brutal hostility, and repeatedly knocked on the bathroom door shouting at them to finish. This is a complete lack of basic human decency, let alone "5-star service". Avoid this hotel at all costs—it is an absolute nightmare!**THE HOTEL IS TOTALLY SCAMS!!! Our hotel had heightened security procedures in place that day, and after approximately 20 to 30 minutes our staff knocked on the door to ask whether you were alright. There was no shouting and no physical contact with any member of our team.For accuracy, we would also like to clarify that you visited alone, that there was no reservation in your name at our hotel, and that no booking was cancelled with us. We understand from an earlier visit that your reservation was with a different property sharing our street address.We are always glad to assist anyone in need, guest or not.   Great Hotel to Visit Tirana

  We stayed two nights at the start of a trip around Albania. The hotel's location is perfect for sightseeing - and close to Tirana Castle, the area developed with decent bars and restaurants. We were very pleased with the location. Arriving early (1pm) we were told we could check in but of we waited a little we could have a much better room - and indeed we did, being on the 20th floor, which is the second last floor with rooms. It was very considerate. The room and its views were perfect. Good air conditioning. Very clean. Good bathroom and shower. And visiting The View on the 23rd floor each evening for a cocktail was very pleasant. Breakfast was good - always remember to ask for what you want and the servers are happy to oblige (reactive more than proactive, which is genuine and fine). Last but not least, the cost of the hotel is reasonable considering its quality and location. One thing we might have expected - key card authentication required to access guest floors from the elevator (although the lobby has staff keeping a close eye on things, so security isn't really lacking.   An excellent choice for Tirana

  After some trouble making our way to Tirana on our first trip to Albania, we could not have been happier to arrive at the Maritim. Well-situated, modern, with welcoming, professional staff, the hotel is a great choice for the city. Our room, on the 13th floor, was spacious, spotless, well-equipped with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a soaking tub. Breakfast was included and was a feast, with scores of options and good coffee and tea. The cost for the experience was modest and well-worth it. The design of the building stands out on the Tirana cityscape and turned out to be practical, with the alternating stone slabs allowing fantastic views while shielding the room from the intense summer sun.   Modern hotel with large spacious comfortable rooms and great views. The breakfast was included which was good but not great. The hotel is centrally located and has a good bar courtyards area which was handy for pre dinner drinks. Good gym and spa was nice too.   The location is fabulous! Our room was modern, spacious, bright, and clean. (The bathroom head shower was the only concern) The reception staff was very polite, and they promptly provided everything I needed. The concierge is very knowledgeable, and his recommendations were precious, as well as the driver he chose to take us around. The bar on the 23rd floor was very pleasant, and the servers there were nice too. I'm surely recommending this hotel and would give it a 6 star.
