    Nightmare hotel-Vagabond manager

    rating29 Jul 2026

This place is a real nightmare.I was sick and I vomitted and they made me clean it and offended me constantly very badly, they were caring about international tourists and ruling Albanian ones, the beach is far away from the hotel and they don't give directions to go there, the room was broken down they made us change the room or three or four days on the beach were gone. The hotel staff is garbage, the manager raided my room andade me go outside without clothes, I was about to contact the police she treated me like her employer although we payed a property to them, who has valuable money and wants to spend good time in Vlora by having personal hygiene-because the bathroom was unusable don't go there save yourself from those people I was about to contact the police they ruined our vacation

Not quite as expected – wouldn’t return

    rating27 Jul 2025

We stayed at Vlora International Hotel for a week in July and were unfortunately disappointed. We arrived in the middle of the night and immediately noticed that the hotel looked nothing like the pictures online. Luckily, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, which was a nice start. The room appeared modern at first glance but was poorly maintained. The air conditioning didn’t work in one of the rooms, making it unbearably hot. The bed was full of sand for some reason, and the sheets were stained with brown marks. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed instead. Overall, the room was dirty and had several issues. The view was “fine,” but currently it’s facing an active construction site. Every morning we were woken up by loud noises that felt like an earthquake – this happened all day, every day. If you’re thinking of booking here, wait a few years until the construction is finished.Breakfast was very basic, with little variety, and wasn’t restocked properly. Honestly, it was one of the saddest hotel breakfasts I’ve seen.We also thought the hotel had an outdoor pool based on what we saw online, but it turned out to be an indoor pool that we were only allowed to use once during the whole week. Apparently, it had to be emptied and was then just left unused. There’s just a treadmill in the pool room – not exactly what I’d call a fitness room. The location is okay – about a 10–15 minute walk to the beach, and 5–10 minutes from restaurants and shops. The town is somewhat cozy, but traffic is chaotic and cars drive wherever they want. Be careful as a pedestrian. The parking area shown in the booking photos no longer exists – it has been replaced by a small park with sand and dried-up trees. There were also lots of stray dogs outside; we counted eight right in front of the hotel one day.The bathroom was alright but the shower was dirty. They did provide shampoo and soap, but towels were a constant issue. Housekeeping took away the used towels but didn’t leave any clean ones. We had to track down the staff multiple times to ask for new towels. There’s a fridge in the room, but it was frozen over on the inside and very dirty. All in all, the hotel is cheap, and the stay was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it at the moment. Maybe in a few years, if they improve the conditions and finish construction, it could have potential. But for now, it’s not worth it.

    Consider other hotels first

    rating26 Apr 2025

Okay.. I actually don't usually write anything but I think this is the worst I have stayed in for a very long time. I am taking into account Albania standards.. however having just been on a tour I know things can be lovely...Reception were lovely I have to say . However the standard of room was way below average although v clean . Shower I discovered later at night wasn't working well and fittings were falling off. My friends room had holes in the walls and cigarette burns on the bedding.. With the standard I stayed everywhere else this is definitely not great and I'd avoid. I came in too late to ask to change rooms and as I was only there for one night .. but I'd look at others before this ??

    Not recommended

This hotel looks nothing like it does on the photos. The lobby, rooms and hallways are very dated and the breakfast buffet was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. Housekeeping threw away my plastic bag that I keep my shampoo etc in when transporting it in my luggage. Very frustrating.I would not stay here or in Vlore in general. This beach town reminds me of Lignano in the 1990s: either people come here to get drunk or for a cheap family vacation with small kids. This town has nothing to offer for couples except for the wine bar behind the hotel.

Very good - no problem stay

    rating30 Apr 2024

Travelling on business. This was a good choice of hotel and I'd be happy to come back - business or holiday. The check-in was very smooth and well-organized, despite a late arrival. The room was fine. A little on the small side, and - a common problem in hotels across the world - dark, by which I mean insufficient lighting. When you first go in you struggle to find the light switches and when you do, it was barely worth it - the entrance lights to the room were virtually useless. But the room was well cleaned - a couple of points could do with a little maintenance but nothing too major. The location is good and from my room I had a great sea view.Wifi - very easy to connect to and very fast.Breakfast - great. No problems.I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment. Also can't comment on the fitness facilities other than that the pool was empty for some reason and the very small amount of gym equipment was out of order. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and efficient. So overall - I wouldn't say it's the most amazing hotel ever, but it was perfectly fine and I'd be happy to return.
