  A nice clean basic hotel ,2 min walk from gondola.Beds were comfortable , we stayed in room 103.Daily room cleaning & a picnic made up for us on our last day as we had a 5.15am bus.

  Cheap Ski trip turned to lunch!

  A cheap ski holiday that turned into a bed bug meal.We have just returned from a 5 night stay in Hotel Comapedrosa Arinsal, this hotel is ideally positioned for restaurants and lift up into Arinsal/Pal ski areas.On arrival we were greeted (staff not always at desk) and given our room key (207), remember this number!Our room was very basic and dated, it had 2 single beds an open wardrobe, TV (we never turned it on), balcony, desk and a bathroom.The floor was tiled but was also dirty.The light switch upon entering was not attached to the wall properly, so you needed to be careful.The wardrobe had no doors with a reasonable amount of hangers and a couple of drawers.The desk was large and had a drawer in it too.The bathroom was dirty and looked very tired, the light switch inside wasn’t easy to locate, but was fixed to the all properly.The toilet was not easy to get to either.The bathroom as warm and had plenty of hot water,This room is on the front of the hotel and the balcony overlooks the main street, where if you were a light sleeper or needed the window/door open then I would expect the noise to be problem.Now the beds, on first inspection they looked fine, the throw/blanket look old and tired but there were 2 large pillows (white pillow cases), the mattress look new and had a cover, then to white sheets.I noticed a couple of marks on my bed but thought it was a felt pen mark. I now know that it is blood and not pen!We had no issues with bites until the 3rd day, when my friend mentioned one on his arm, we thought it was a mosquito bite as we had left the door/window open the night before.Then the following day a couple more appeared and I had one or 2 bites.It wasn’t until the final evening that the penny dropped and we realised that they were bed bug bites.Bed bug bites have anaesthetic in them and can take up to 14 days to appear on your skin!I am now at home with over 100 bites and more appearing by the hour.My luggage and contents are in quarantine and awaiting sprays and heat devices to kill the bugs (if any have come home with me!I would certainly not recommend staying in room 207, and would probably say to not stay there at all, although I did not stay in any of the other rooms.I have now found a couple of reviews that talk about bed bugs at this hotel (not on trip advisor though).The staff were friendly and location great, that’s why 2 rating, but not great for skin care!

  Great place to stay while Skiing

  This was our first Ski trip, two adults for 5 days. Once checked in, headed upstairs to our room which was pleasant enough. Our room was compact, clean and fairly contemporary which was serviced every day. I read reviews about noise, but honestly there was nothing of any consequence while we were there, we even slept with the window open above a running river without any issue. We were expecting a lot more noise as we were directly over the bar, but .... nothing! Location is outstanding, 1 minute for the gondola and the 'AndBus' dropped and picked us up from right outside. Not to mention, it is directly opposite the Derby Irish Bar! We opted for half board, but be aware the menu is limited but did see they made fresh pizza on site too, although we didn't have any. Also, there is no attention to dietary requirements e,g, Vegan, but sure with some planning/communication before arrival, the staff could/would have arranged something. We also found the staff to be very friendly and had no issue with anyone. Breakfast was the standard european offering of breads, meat and cheese, cereal and pastries.For somewhere to sleep and occasionally grab something to eat, this hotel is excellent! Yes there are better hotels, but for the price it is very worthwhile. Lets face it, when you pay budget prices, you cannot expect Hilton grandeur. We would definitely stay here again as it was perfect for our needs. It only dropped a star for no Vegan option as stanard and the staff know about the kettle :)

  Dated decoration, Not recommended if you have to park a camping vehicle in the nearest public car park behind.

  Very dated room, musty smell, plastic mattress covers, rusty leaking pipes in bathroom. Booked for 6 nights, only stayed 1 night due to Police saying it was forbidden to leave our Motorhome in the huge car park behind overnight between 11pm-6am. Received a parking ticket on the windscreen first night. £600 for one night. An expensive mistake!

  Very good hotel in low season

  The Hotel Comapedrosa is located in Arinsal, a little ski town in La Massana Parish, in Andorra Country.The rate quality/price was very good. It is one of the cheapest hotel in Andorra in may (low season). The bathroom has all we need to stay some days. I booked 3 times due to the number of persons and I could stay always in a double room (two days I am alone and two days we were two). The staff was very friendly and the last day they did a take away full breakfast for me.On the other hand, the room was small. In the surroundings almost all were closed in may.
