    Great ski hotel

    rating21 Feb 2025

This is not a luxury hotel.....you are not paying for a luxury hotel! you are paying for a typical ski hotel. The rooms are super clean the food is very school dinners (but hearty and tasty this is not a complaint) yes it smelt a bit foisty as you came into reception but this in no way impacted our experience. The staff were all friendly and the location was good the free bus to take you to the Funicamp stops a little way up or down the street for the money we paid I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

    Awful never return

    rating13 Feb 2024

Rooms are a roof with 4 walls. Manager slammed our doors and decided he would stay outside and watch us. Gunshots fired outside hotel and fireworks lit. Rooms need serious renovation and furniture either dusty or stained. Food was basic and either undercooked or overcooked. Awful place and we will never return. People crying over my being able to sleep due to outside gunshots

    The best choice in Encamp

    rating01 Jul 2019

I came for a couple of nights to meet friends and enjoy the snow. I could not find better in Encamp. What i liked the most was the staff and the comfort of the room. I would really recommend this hotel to those who need to stay in Encamp. No parking options or discounts. It is necessary to use the municipal parking near by (10€ per 24h)But i’m not sure if other hotels in Encamps have car parks

    Serves its purpose

    rating05 Feb 2018

I feel like I need to revindicate the reputation of this hotel after seeing how many negative reviews it's got. It does have its faults, the main one being that it's old and needs renovation. However, the price is right for the value you get, and paying only 50 euro a night one can hardly expect the luxury of 150. After all, if money is not an issue for you, there're plenty of more expensive choices nearby. For us, traveling to Encamp for a week of skiing, it served its purpose as a good location, close both to the Funicamp and to Andorra La Vella. So, summing up: the room was basic but OK, the bathroom adequate, all the equipment working and the maids did their job well, we had clean towels every day. There was a safe box in the room, so we left all the valuables there and didn't worry. Unfortunately, no fridge and no kettle (sorry, British tea lovers :)). But there's a nice patisserie just accross the road. The windows are thin, and when we first entered the room it felt a bit cold, but it was fine all the time after that, so no problem. We had a room overlooking the river as we asked and we loved the sound of running water. Anyway, it's way better than the sounds of cars passing by, so I'd recommend asking for a room at the back. Many people here mentioned bad soundproofness of the room, well, maybe we should be more considerate of our neighbours, because the only time we had a problem with loud sounds from the surrounding rooms was when the girls from the room accross the hall from ours returned home in the middle of the night laughing and shouting out loud. The rest was fine.Breakfast - average. There's some choice, even hot dishes (eggs and bacon) but the same every day. Only two types of coffee, either black or with milk, which is a pity, I love my cappucino in the morning. The staff was nice and always helpful, no complaints here. The wifi worked excellently for five days of our stay, until something happened and I couldn't get a good signal in the room, only on the ground floor. The manager said they would have to call a technician to look at it. Unfortunately, it was during the weekend and the tech man would only come on Monday, by which time I had already left. The verdict: it's ok if you only plan to return to the hotel to sleep. Next time when I go to Encamp, which is a wonderful place, I will do some research of other hotels, but I wouldn't mind staying at Oros again if there're no other choices in the same price category. helpful staff- decent 3*

    rating18 Jan 2010

stayed in the Oros 3 times for the last 5 years. last time we were 5 adults and 2 children (ages 1 and 3). we arrived without a booking, on a very snowy day, and the manager offered us several options to accommodate us all in the most valuable option. we took 3 rooms (2 adults + 2 children; 2 adults; 1 adult) which had 1 grand door that made it to a 3 bedroom suite like. we did our laundry there, twice, which waited for us folded and fresh at our rooms. we had dinner at the restaurant the 1st night and were offered great options from the cook. since we wanted dinner on the 2nd night as well, the cook actually asked us what we want him to cook for the next dinner- just an example for the great service and care. the Oros is a 3* hotel, so don't expect too much, but its definitely giving more value to your money!
