This resort is located about 8 km from the centre of Antigua.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, 24-hour room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a flatscreen television, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

There are indoor and outdoor pools and a children's swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols on the terrace invite guests to relax and unwind. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, beach volleyball and golf are available. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy catamaraning, kayaking and snorkelling. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, billiards, yoga and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a kids' disco, a dance club and a casino.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A continental breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Just amazing!!!

    Both my husband and I had an exceptional time at Royalton. We stayed at the diamond club. Our butlers Rodwin and Angela were just so professional however I have to give special mention to Rodwin from check in to check out he was on point!!!! It's quite evident he enjoys his job. We had an unfortunate experience at one of the restaurants but it was quickly resolved by Simone and Antonette. Big thank you to Kerrilla and Romancia at the Steak house.We will definitely be back!!!

    • Among the Antigua's natural beauty in the palms of mesmerizing Deep Bay lies a bit neglected Royalton resort. • While our vacation began on a rocky footing, like fine wine, it got better with time. We ended up having a wonderful experience, despite the bumps.• I read many of the negative reviews before coming here and had my apprehensions. Some of the things were confirmed, but overall the reviews, are overdramatized, too negative, and some are written in the heat of the moment. In my opinion, much is in hotel's control to make the experience better. Thus, in this beautiful paradise, the potential remains, albeit unrealized. Now into the details.Positives• Beach. What a beauty. Water is crystal clear, warm, no waves. The landscape is breathtaking. Facing the sunset. Sand is amazing though guests were a bit careless with leaving waste items behind. Plenty of seating space. Highlight of our trip.• Hotel Grounds. Hotel is nestled between hills, sea and bay. Grounds are well maintained. Lots of tropical trees. It is spacious. Was not crowded at all. For kids, they have kid slides, kid club, and some evening activities.Negatives• Check-in. This should be one of the most predictable experiences but it was lengthy, one of our rooms was not prepared almost at least 1hr after check-in time and rooms were missing things to start. It just starts the vacation on the wrong foot because you can't fully get into vacation mode. This is fully in hotel's control. On the other hand, they did welcome our birthday girl with balloons and flower pedals in the room. • Restaurant Reservations. You have to book restaurants at a counter. People said that the app didn't work. The good thing is you can book several days in advance. The bad is that availability was poor. We were not able to book restaurants for several days and when we could, times were limited. Though, when we arrived, space was plentiful and restaurants seldom looked full. That's a pity if you like going to restaurants. Some restaurants were closed on some days. I know they try to match capacity to demand, and there are ways to improve this, so hopefully they will work on it.Neutral• Beach: there is a group of dogs that hangs out on the beach. Some people love them and some don't. They do do their business on the beach and I can see how that's a turn off for people. But I found the dogs better behaved than some people, and they deserve to share this space. • Buffet. My impression is that they manage the buffet and restaurants relative to demand. On Mon-Tue buffet was very limited and scaled down, but then improved as days went on. They probably try to manage both labor and waste. I get it from the business perspective, but I can see how guests may feel like they are not getting their monies worth too. It appears to me that to have everything running at full capacity all the time would require a much higher room rate. In other words, you get what you pay for. Royalton is not cheap, but not most expensive either.• Food quality. Buffet variety improved with time and was decent towards the end. For the most part, we thought food tasted pretty good. Some really good, some okay. But don't expect too many high end options. Steakhouse was just okay and Italian was pretty good. • Service. Some good and some bad. Buffet service improved with time. At the bar, some bartenders were great and others were rude. Relative to other countries, general service quality was poorer. If you have issues, good luck solving them quickly. They didn't seem apologetic when things were off. Room was cleaned okay, not spotless. Buffet opened late one day and while guests were waiting, they provided zero communication. Guests grew rightfully frustrated.• Hotel rooms. About as expected. Spacious. Ours were still in decent shape with some wear and tear as expected. They do have some rooms (not sure if all) that connect with just double door. This is great for groups like ours, but they split us apart. I am not sure why, since hotel didn't seem that packed. Anyway, the double door makes sound proofing poor and you can hear other people's conversations. For those spending lots of time inside, can be annoying if neighbors are noisy.     I attended a destination wedding here. The bride was gorgeous. The wedding lacked food and service was awful. The resort staff was rude, my room stunk of mildew, the buffet ran out of items such as bacon at 8:00 am, and island dogs defected on the beach that was not raked clean. If you are planning a wedding or vacation here-SAVE YOUR MONEY. AWFUL.     Just arrived and it took over an hour and a half to check in, absolutely horrendous service and so rude!! My parents who are in their 80s needed a ground floor room and the view from the room is a fence!!! Can’t believe we’ve come all this way for this!!!
