    Awful experience at the spa

    rating21 Jun 2024

We visited the restaurant and from the outside everything looked very nice, so we decided to book the spa day to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. But it was throwing money away. The pool was cold, the environment was not heated. Everyone was waiting for the jacuzzi, which was the only thing that could be used. I had a massage, the truth is that the masseuse did everything possible to make sure I had a nice experience. But from the massage room you could hear everyone who arrived and complain about the temperature of the water. To end the bad experience, the person at the reception made a mistake and gave me the massage turn of another passenger. And during my massage, the person in charge entered the room without even asking permission to question me why I had taken that turn. I felt completely violated and poorly treated. to the point that we couldn't enjoy the day and had to leave. The responses from the place were painful. I take the trouble to write the review because we all have the right to enjoy our vacations and experiences like this, it really ruins them. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else

Nice place. Restaurant was nice and good view. Food was decient and drinks were good. rooms were a little dated, but clean. Internet is an issue if you want to do any work. Spa needs to be updated and men's room needs some repair. Pool water was a little on the cloudy side, but nice and warm and views were great.

Potentially ok but work to do…

    rating26 Mar 2022

The reception was very friendly and helpful though no-one spoke English as claimed on the website/ Google. The apartment was large, though dark, with a useable kitchen. There was no view from our apartment and the road noise was at times very loud and persistent. Cleaning was daily. Wifi worked ok at times and at other times was non existent creating many problems. The swimming pool was extremely cloudy and dirty and the racquets and balls for the tennis courts were for children and well used. We hadn’t realised it was going to cost extra to use the Quincho. The restaurant facility had great views across the lake but breakfast was slow and restricted to a couple of slices of toast and a few bits to go with it and served by a lady in the wrong job, who refused to give butter for toast, claiming this would be an extra cost. This problem was eventually resolved on day 2 after some feedback was shared. We chose to eat in the restaurant for dinner one night and expected a « residents 10% » discount advertised on the wall. It turned out this wasn’t intended for hotel residents but local residents of Bariloche! Lucky them! Finally we spent a fortune on taxis but this was no fault of the hotel - we just hadn’t realised how far out of the way it was.

    Five Star customer service

    rating26 Jul 2019

While this resort should not be listed as a Silver crown, the service is amazing & makes up for it. Please note that this resort has radiator heating so if you're there in July as we were, you'll be cold. We couldn't get more that 17 deg C on the first night.

Decent, but not a resort and not a spa

    rating05 Apr 2019

I’ll start with the good. The staff is very kind and always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast is simple but it is included for RCI members which is great. It included toasts, eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt, along with juice coffee and tea. If you have a car, the location is great. Just outside of the busy town, and already on the way towards most of the hikes and other activities. The property itself is pretty, and has a nice outdoor area with a fire pit, tennis court, etc. The bad: the rooms are clean but everything is extremely basic. They definitely need to be updated. The kitchen is “fully equipped” but only has one dull knife, no wine opener, and very few items to cook with. There is a list of everything provided but many items are missing from the list. Be sure to bring your own napkins, paper towels, etc. The WiFi is non existent. There are two options to connect to WiFi and neither of them work properly. THE WORST:the “SPA” is an indoor/outdoor pool that is only heated sometimes. The jacuzzi is fine but only seats 4 people (awkward if those people are not all together because it is so small). And there is no masseuse on site... so we had to wait for the staff to call around and find someone to give us a massage. Stone massages were advertised and yet no one was able to give us one. We paid for an hour massage... each one only lasted about 45 minutes. There is only one massage table so we had to take turns. This place should absolutely not be considered a spa. We used our RCI points for this place and compared to most RCI resorts, this isn’t quite up to the standard. For a normal hotel, it’s clean and basic. Not worth the RCI points.
