  My experience in Faro Nahuel had good points, but also some details that I found alarming. While the location is excellent and the apartment was well equipped, I noticed significant issues regarding safety for children and transparency of some practices.Two points I found particularly worrying:Safety for children: The play area and the exit of the apartment were very close to slopes of more than two meters without guardrails or protections, posing a serious risk.Payment security: At check-in, they tried to photocopy my credit card for the guarantee. This practice is outdated and unsafe, as card data is private and misuse can have serious consequences. It is a practice that is not used anymore and should not happen.Furthermore, the communication on the payment was not clear. I was informed at the time of check-in that it had to be in cash, something I had not been told when booking by transfer. This caused me a big complication, since it is not easy to get cash in Bariloche without a branch of the bank of your own. I understand the tax burden they evade, but it is essential that this information is clarified in advance.In short, while the place has potential for its amenities and location, my experience was overshadowed by a lack of transparency in communication and, above all, by serious security flaws, both for families and for guest data.   The shower is impossible to regulate, either you burn or freeze, they didn't give me a solution.We lost power, first the whole complex, then just my room. I unplugged everything and the thermal switch kept tripping. There's obviously a problem in the room. They won't fix it, and I'm without power.   The chalet is nice (we even stayed in a lake-facing apartment, amazing views), but I don't recommend this place.At the time of booking, it's not clear that they charge an extra 15% (after a lot of discussion, we managed to get them to charge "only" 10%) for credit card payments on top of the value shown on Booking to make the reservation.They did send a message later informing us about this additional charge for credit card use - which we didn't see before - but we feel cheated because this fee should not exist. We talked to several other nearby hotels and apartments, and they told us that this charge is abusive, and we should report them to the tourism office - something we will do.Another point that is not clear when making the reservation is that you have to wash the glasses, cutlery, and plates you use during your stay.The breakfast is decent but does not include cold cuts (cheese, ham, etc.), only toast and sweet croissants, with milk and coffee.The service was polite, and the cleanliness was good, along with effective heating.However, I believe it's important for everyone to know about the above points that they DO NOT inform you about at the time of booking, so that you don't feel deceived like we did.These are important (and simple) aspects that, in my opinion, the management of the apartment could improve to make the guests' experience much better.

  We had a booking with Despegar and had to pay upon check in. They did not accept credit card unless we paid an extra charge of 10%.The room differed greatly from what we saw in this and in Despegar web site. The bathroom was rather old (30 years at least) and the toilet had a water leak that wets the floor. The range had a gas leak, the towels and sheets were very old and stained, We found bugs in the bedroom crawling in and out of a crack between the floor and the wall. We also found hair on the pillow cases.Wifi did not work,No view at all - neither to the lake nor to the mountains.Huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the 200 dollar a night rate they charge.
