  Spectacular experience

  28 Jul 2026

There are no other hotels like at this level of luxury in Argentina. We are talking about the best of the best accommodation you can get. you can get.Swiss alps 5 stars.Meals are served in silverwear, white gloves butler.Rooms are decorated with this particular alpine style. Gorgeous. Size is good but they have so many things and places to relax among the hotel that you will never go into the room. The spa, the fireplace, the views. I had great expectations... they were all surpassed!

This is one of the best locations in the world! The place is absolutely gorgeous, super well maintained. Staff was precious, polite, helpful. Room was spacious, beautiful, lots of room for everything. Bathroom was great, waterfall strong shower, large, super modern. Breakfast is amazing! oh... did I mention the views out of the windows? The cost is very high on everyghing (maube that is to pay for the view... well worth it!) Great views but limited food options

  19 Apr 2026

The good news -- The views are out of this world. The staff tried very hard. It feels extremely safe (celebrities and ballers stay there). The breakfast buffet is vast. The bad news -- There are times that you just want a regular American cheeseburger, milkshake, or regular American pizza. They don't have that. After a while, you get tired of being on the property. It is a 30-minute drive to Bariloche. If you don't have a car, then you feel trapped in a 5-star resort.... Gestor de Experiencia, Guest Services / Front Office at Llao Llao Resort, responded to this review Centerfield,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We are truly delighted to know that you enjoyed the breathtaking surroundings, the sense of tranquility and safety, and the dedication of our team. It is also wonderful to hear that our breakfast experience left a positive impression-something we take great pride in as part of our resort offering. We also sincerely appreciate your comments regarding the variety of dining options. Our culinary proposal is designed to highlight regional flavors and provide a distinctive gastronomic experience aligned with our setting. That said, we understand that, during longer stays, guests may occasionally crave more familiar or casual alternatives, and your observation is both valuable and well received.Regarding location, our resort is intentionally set in a privileged natural environment, offering a sense of escape and immersion in Patagonia’s beauty. At the same time, we recognize that ease of mobility is important, and we are always happy to assist with transportation arrangements to and from the city for those wishing to explore further.Your feedback is truly appreciated and helps us continue refining the experience we strive to offer each of our guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again for another memorable stay.

5* views, but not much else is above a 2*

  11 Apr 2026

We stayed at Llao Llao expecting a true 5-star experience, and while the setting absolutely delivers, the overall experience fell well short—especially for the price. The biggest disappointment was the food. Across the board, it was subpar—basic items like pizza and salads were poorly executed and nowhere near the quality you’d expect at this level. Given the pricing, it felt especially off. Dining on property quickly became something we tried to avoid rather than look forward to.Service was also inconsistent. At times it felt inattentive and not aligned with what you’d expect from a luxury resort. There wasn’t that polished, anticipatory service that typically defines a 5-star stay. The rooms were another letdown—dated, on the smaller side, and lacking the level of comfort and finish you’d expect given the nightly rate. It felt like the property is leaning heavily on its history rather than investing in a fully modernized experience. On top of that, there’s a noticeable amount of upcharging for extras, which adds up quickly and further detracts from the value. That said, the location is undeniably stunning. The views, surrounding nature, and overall setting are world-class—easily the highlight of the stay. But ultimately, for what you’re paying, the experience doesn’t match the price point. Unless you’re willing to take 30–35 minute cabs each way to eat off property and avoid the on-site dining, it’s hard to justify the cost. Gestor de Experiencia, Guest Services / Front Office at Llao Llao Resort, responded to this review George,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. While we are pleased to know that you appreciated our unique setting and the natural beauty that surrounds the resort, we are truly sorry that the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We regret that our culinary offering fell short, both in quality and perceived value. This is certainly not the standard we aim to deliver, and your comments have been shared with our Gastronomy team for thorough review and improvement. We are also sorry to learn that the service felt inconsistent and lacked the level of attentiveness and refinement expected.Regarding the rooms, we understand your perception and would like to share that the hotel features two distinct wings: the Bustillo Wing, our historic building currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation to enhance comfort while preserving its iconic character, and the Moreno Wing, which offers a more contemporary style and layout. We regret that your assigned room did not meet your expectations, and we would have gladly assisted in exploring alternatives more aligned with your preferences. We also take note of your comments about pricing and additional charges, as perceived value is a key part of the overall guest experience, and we continuously work to align our offering accordingly. We truly appreciate your honest and constructive feedback. It helps us identify opportunities for improvement and continue evolving. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a stay that better reflects the level of excellence we strive for.
