Location

This magnificent hotel is located in the town centre of San Carlos de Bariloche, overlooking the magnificent Nahuel Huapi lake and just a step away from its main shopping and business district, where one can find a whole range of local and regional articles, such as woollen clothing, ceramics and chocolates.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 299 rooms, including 4 junior suites, 5 suites, 7 apartments and 282 double rooms, located in a 12-storey main building and a 4-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops as well. Children can enjoy the playground. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the lake view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a mini fridge. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. A shower, a bathtub and a bidet are included the bathrooms. For additional convenience, bathrooms also provide a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

The pool complex includes both indoor and outdoor pools, which are in part heated. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub.     Wow what a fantastic location as the hotel is set on main street along the banks of the 40-mile-long Lake Nahuel Huapi, San Carlos de Bariloche. Giving the accommodations 4.1 hinge rating scale of 0-5We are here in their summer, with most visitors interested in hiking, fishing, biking and camping.

    First! This property for many years was a Marriott. So Bonvoy by Marriott changed its name brand. Ok let’s get right to it. For the location, comfort and price it’s probably the best hotel in the city center. What I liked: the gym has good equipment if you want to exercise, probably the best in the city for a hotel. The indoor swimming pool, the hot tubs out on the sun deck with panoramic views of the lake and city, the sauna it’s an all-around very pleasant spa experience. The lady Patrica who manages the spa takes very good care of the guests. Thirdly, the staff from the bell men team to the front desk team to housekeeping, fantastic! The the restaurant next-door is new and it’s a nice addition inconvenient for the hotel guests. Good bartenders in the lobby bar… they understand on how to make a good cocktail. Overall the Sheraton staff and team provide a very pleasant and professional guest experience. What is unfortunate is the hotel rooms are dated and are tired. That is the number one registered complaint by travelers. Regardless I return and I always reserve a room with balcony over looking the city and the lake… it’s full sun and the night breeze with the open sliding glass door is fantastic.Well enjoy!

    Starting with the good, the beds at this hotel are absolutely wonderful! Also, the staff which were mostly all bilingual, were amazing! Special shoutout to Victoria for especially excellent service. Finally, the soft product at this hotel is great! They had free hot breakfast every day in addition to a rooftop sauna and indoor pool, along with a lobby bar which had a great ambiance.Now for the not so great: as many others have pointed out in other reviews, the condition of the rooms is very poor. Our room was especially old. Also, Don’t book a partial lake view room expecting a good view as you will only get a small (and obstructed) view of the lake. It’s also important to note that you will hear everything! The walls are extremely thin making it hard to sleep at night. We could hear people talking in the hallways and in the rooms next to ours. The hotel management also decided to remodel only the lobby area and select rooms for the photos online, making the hotel look better than it actually is in real life. Overall, This hotel is not up to the Sheraton brand standard (with the exception of the service), but I would stay here again if the price is right.     Great hotel, except the aging rooms

    We wanted to like this hotel and we had an OK stay, but I wish it got renovated.Staff are super kind and nice, breakfast for Elites is very good, pool and spa area is fantastic.However, the rooms are quite dated, we received an upgrade to a two room apartment, which was like two rooms put together. Rooms are VERY old, we had some ants in our room and lots of odd mechanical noises that did not allow a very good sleep.We were there in the low season, so did not understand why we couldn't have the top room (1202) instead of 1102 and hear all the noises from above.I would stay here again, just based on my Marriott status but I hope they renovate the hotel soon.Lobby renovation was magnificent, it is very comfortable, classy and beautiful.Patricia at the breakfast room remembered my name every morning and knew what coffee I wanted!     Great older lux hotel

    Great jacuzzi on the roof. Clean room near shopping and city center. Great full free breakfast with tons of fresh fruit. Fantastic view of the lake with a rustic cabin feel. Super soft bed. Friendly staff and all the chocolate you care to ever eat nearby.
