    Location was great since we used the city’s obelisk for a landmark because the GPS was constantly unreliable.

    Everything was great, tho our white towels were quite grey. The room had a bit of an odor upon entering,but outside of that, it was a nice stay!

    Two coffee mugs, one kettle, one coffee/tea serving.If you travel as a couple and you both like coffee in the morning you’ll have to flip a coin to see who gets the one coffee serving. Crazy cheap move for a 4.5 Star hotel!The WIFI is TERRIBLE.The “rules” say don’t bring room towels to the pool.When you get to the pool there’s no towels.If you’d like a lounge chair by the pool, good luck, they allow people to “save” them by putting a towel or a personal item on them. The limited lounge chairs sit empty while being saved by rude guests. This should not be allowed.If you only speak English forget the TV, only a few local channels are available. No news channel . No smart TV , it’s 2026 for crying out loud!! I can’t remember the last time I saw a TV so small!Every time the maids came they forgot to replenish something and you have to constantly call the front desk for items.Hotel was built in 1927. It’s tired and is in great need of a refresh. Certainly not a 4.5 Star as advertised.We asked for directions at the front desk and they were incorrect.Front desk staff seem to have very little interest in assisting guests.Lights needed replacing in the bathroom and bedroom area.Dirty carpet in the hallways, walls banged up etc.Elevators have minds of their own. You press up they go down.Hotel shuttle $55 USD from the airport, Uber $35 CDN with tip, big difference!No information about amenities in the hotel.No information about restaurants, theatre etc at hotel.

    We stayed here twice as part of an organized tour and can see how the reviews would be different based on what room someone was assigned. The first room we were given was probably one of the best at the hotel- a suite with an office- and a hot water kettle with tea and coffee- and there were slippers in the closet. There was a shower and a tub. The second room (a few days later) was small with an odd shower (no tub) and no kettle, coffee, tea, slippers, etc. Also, during the second visit there was no cleaning of our room. Regardless, the hotel was fine and has a good location. The plumbing is old. The service is spotty. But the breakfast was always good. If you keep expectations in check, this hotel is a good choice.

    Good hotel, rooms of good standard with air-conditioning and small fridge. Rooms have hardwood floors so can get be noisy if people above are moving suitcases walking loudly.Breakfast buffet good selection. staff all friendly and helpful. Shops, small supermarket and restaurants within walking distance

    A great location, rooms need updating particularly bathroom.. breakfast was very good.Unfortunately, I had noisy neighbours who woke me up two days in a row.Very basic amenities in the roomThere is a pool, but the water is not heated and it’s very small doesn’t look inviting. Small gym, but pretty functional.After this experience, I’d rather stay in Airbnb much better value for my money.
