    Home away from Home

    rating26 Feb 2026

Still as good as it gets. If you can overlook the aged nature of the furnishings and focus on the staff and the location, you are in the best of Hotels worldwide. The furnishings are tired but that's like Mom's house and unlike most hotels today, this one is owner operated by two families with loads of hospitality knowledge and staff cohesion and quality. Having first quality involved owners helps to make sure that all issues can be solved and a team spirit evolves. I've stayed here before and this home away from home has been invaluable to my progression to Argentine residency. Whether tourism or local business you would be hard pressed to find better value and location.

    Convenient and safe hotel

    rating16 Dec 2024

Good and safe location. Attentive and friendly staff. One of the reasons I chose this hotel is because of the availability of a safety deposit box for some peace of mind and security. Buenos Aires is a noisy city! If you struggle to fall asleep because of this, keep the tv on a low-ish volume until you fall asleep to distract your brain from the street noises.

    No place Id rather stay

    rating20 Nov 2024

A welcoming hotel with an exceptional service team ready to help with any need. Reasonably sized rooms in an older building with a superb location and low prices. There is a good restaurant, lollos, on the ground floor and many nearby choices for variety. The biggest movie theatre in town is four blocks away and Evitas tomb 5. Major city streets and the bus network is 2-3 blocks away and the subway system also close. Super safe, and your needs are just a request away from being filled.

    Just missed the mark

    rating13 May 2019

Good location, nice the breakfast was included and has an attached cafe, a furnished lobby with one computer station. We had a 3 person room with a balcony on the street. It was spacious and the window had a shutter to help with light and noise. However, the heat is central so you can't control it. The front desk turned ours off in the middle of night so we were freezing and had to call to have it turned back on. We could never figure out the (huge) television. Liked it had a room safe, ample closet storage, extra blankets and pillows in the room. The bathroom had a very small step in which was great for my friend, but they tile was slick as ice when it got wet (she almost fell) and there was no place to put your toiletries in the shower. The grout had mold and sometimes the toilet would either not flush at all or wouldn't stop running. Convenient to have a grocery store just across the street but our room didn't have any kind of kitchen or refrigerator, etc. The front desk was friendly and helpful though all did not speak English. And, we weren't told that if you don't turn in your room key when you're out and about the maid won't come by. It took us several days to get that figured out. They do have elevators and free wifi. We got our own taxis (plenty pass by the hotel) so I'm not sure if the hotel offers a service.

    Mixed feelings

    rating04 May 2019

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the positive side the location is good and the rooms are clean. I addition to that, the front desk folks were incredibly helpful. The negative is it is an older hotel and the single rooms are tiny. This is a great landing spot for a night or two. It was just me and I was in a single room for 4 nights and it was just too small. Definitely don’t book two people for a single room. Overall for the price I would recommend,
