The room has a REALLY STRONG SMELL OF ORANGE and made us feel bad, the mirror is broken, the floor makes an annoying noise, but I liked the mini-oven and specially the soap dispenser! The pool is kinda cold and not very clean. Certainly it’s not a good place to spend many days in… unless you like soap dispensers.

    Avoid- couldn’t even check in

    rating21 Nov 2023

We arrived at this place and tried for one hour to contact someone to check us in. It was 6.45pm. It is not a hotel and there are no people that work there. We tried numerous times calling the numbers and buzzing the various intercoms and security systems. Another resident even tried to help us and he gave up. There were no special instructions in the booking confirmation nor was anything sent from the ‘hotel’- perhaps it is a scam. In the end, we had to book another hotel meaning we probably lose our prepaid money for this booking. This was an absolutely stressful and terrible experience for anyone arriving in a new foreign city. I would definitely avoid this place and opt for a more standard hotel or Airbnb.

A hotel in need of some TLC

    rating04 Jul 2023

I’m somewhat conflicted about this hotel. There was much that I liked. The location is fantastic, close to bars and restaurants, as well as supermarkets and a superb wine store. The hotel noted and granted my special requests of a queen bed and a room at the back. The bedding was clean. The room was fairly quiet, just some plane noise from Aeroparque and distant traffic noise. I also liked the digital entry and the fact that it felt like a home from home in this amazing city. The reception staff were friendly.Yet, there were a number of problems. Cleanliness wasn’t great. The rooms aren’t serviced daily which means that they need an even deeper clean on changeovers and I’m not sure they get this. I felt uncomfortable leaving my clothes in the closet as it was not clean. The safe in the room wasn’t working. There was a fridge, but this was barely functional and certainly didn’t keep beer or water cold. The bathroom was covered in mould and needs a really deep clean both of the surfaces and the vent. This meant that towels didn’t dry. The hotel charges a fee of USD6 or ARS1600 for a towel change and this is essential given the extremely bad humidity in the bathroom. I left with the impression of a property that needs a lot of attention – the swimming pool also looks derelict. That said, I would consider staying again simply because of the flexibility and the location – although there are other hotels nearby.

Great corporate apartment, limited onsite staffing, all digital entry

    rating16 Mar 2023

If you want to stay in Recoleta, this is a great spot, though I'm not sure most visitors would choose this location.Having a small kitchen and dining area was really nice. The bathroom was larger, and the water pressure better than anywhere else we experienced on our 3 country, 6-city trip. Though physical staffing at the building was limited, virtual service was available. And we appreciated that the desk was able to hold our luggage until 5pm on the day we checked out.The only real hassle was that we didn't understand before we arrived that this is a fully digital access property with limited staffing. So we were confused at first when we arrived and there was no one physically present (we spoke with someone on a video monitor and it was a bit hard to understand through an intercom), and then once we understood the situation, we had to wait ~10 minutes for someone to arrive and begin the check-in process. My understanding is still that someone was actually *supposed* to be present at the reception desk at the hour we arrived (~7pm), but we were told on arrival that the one receptionist covers two buildings in the neighborhood. Not a huge deal, and knowing this wouldn't have changed our choice to book here (the digital access was nice once we had it), but it would have been helpful if they'd laid this out clearly from the start. It would have eliminated the initial confusion we had upon arrival. The courtyard was nice, but the pool was visibly dirty, so we didn't use it.

Affordable, clean, safe, modest lodging in a great location

Ayers de Recoleta is located within a 3 minute walk from thehal La Recoleta cemetery and the Recoleta Mall. This central location makes it easy to walk to most places in Buenos Aires, such as the Obelisk, Plaza Mayo, Puerto Madero and San Telmo. The hotel rooms, which are serviced daily, are furnished studio apartments with a queen bed, bathroom and a kitchenette that is sufficiently equipped that one could fix a simple meal if so inclined. The dining area has a table and seating for four. Our room rate included breakfast. The hotel, though, has no on-site restaurant. At check in they gave us tickets that could be redeemed for breakfast at some restaurants in the Recoleta Mall. The staff are very helpful but communication can be hard as they only speak Spanish. We managed to get by with our limited Spanish and their broken English.
