    Great bang for the buck!

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, and this is a great economy hotel for people who want to save money and go out and explore Buenos Aires. It's walking distance to most anything you want to see downtown.

    Ok for the price

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. I had a private bathroom. The bathroom is a bit scary, especially the small shower. Reception differs greatly from who is on duty. There is an English speaking guy at reception sometimes who is really nice. There isnt much around the location of the hotel, but the underground is very close. The breakfast is terrible (a coffee and 2 slices of toast every day). The room was very basic but quiet. However for the price one cannot really expect much more.

Stayed here in september and ended up here cause of the low price. Decent hotel for the price and staff very friendly. One of the employees speak english, the rest only spanish. I speak spanish but werent used to the accent so I had a hard time in the beginning to catch up on the info they politely shared with us. The rooms are simple and the bed totally fine. Very thin walls though so you hear everyone else basically:) for us it was fine though. Simple breakfast with coffee, tea and bread. Reception 24h, but the door is always looked which we appreciated. They dont let anyone in. Would stay here again if I was on a budget travel. The location makes the distance equal to almost all other popular neighbourhoods in BA, especially close to San Telmo.

Problems, but great staff, service and price

When we arrived, after a 14 hour flight, we were informed that there was no water - but this was not their fault, there was a problem with the mains supply outside the hotel. For the inconvenience, they upgraded us to the apartment on the top floor which was welcome. The guy who worked there spoke excellent English (I forget his name, sorry!) and was very helpful. While we waited for our room, he made us a coffee and when we requested an earlier breakfast because we had to leave at 8am the staff were only too happy to oblige. Also, very handy for the subte.A very good little hotel indeed, and we would probably stay here again.

Firstly, the man at reception who can speak English is an absolute star. He helped us so much with and was very nice and friendly. However, the woman at reception lacked any sense of customer service. She was very rude and hostile, ignored me when I was speaking to her, refused to book us a taxi and was generally not very welcoming. The 'continental breakfast' consisted of two slices of cold, hard toast and machine coffee. The shower in the bathroom was really good but it did flood the floors which was annoying. The room was decent for the two of us and they provided extra quilts. It is at a good location where taxis are always around and is close to shops and cafes.I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.
