The city hotel is perfectly situated near the historic Obelisk and the Teatro Colón Opera House, right in the middle of the financial and commercial districts where guests also will find upscale shops, restaurants, theatres, galleries and museums. Buenos Aires is known for its intellectual flair, European-style architecture and distinguished culture and charm. Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini airport is approximately 35 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 75 junior suites, 23 suites and 264 double rooms, which are located on 23 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi are provided as well. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pool complex includes both indoor and outdoor pools, which are in part heated. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking and golf are available. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, billiards, darts and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments and a solarium.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. Guests can indulge their palates at the non-smoking restaurant, which features air conditioning and a separate area for smokers. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet and lunch offer culinary delights every day. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    I believe Marriott Downtown Buenos Aires was the finest properties in downtown BA! With most rooms having a breathtaking view of the oblisc & the republic square, opposite the finest tango theater! The views and the location of the hotel is probably the best in the very lively capital city!!! Patricio Emanuel Cristiano, the guest relation manager and all his team at the reception/ front desk were very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel you are special!     The Marriott is located near many iconic places. It is possible to walk to Teatro Colón, La Ideal, Galerias Pacifico and La Estancia Restaurant. From the rooftop you can take photos of the Obelisk and the sunsets are spectacular. The pool and gym are also there! The pool is the best I have ever seen in my travels. Finally what made the hotel a good choice was the people. All friendly, welcoming and helpful.     The location is great, but the service is disappointing. There were no hand towels in the bathroom, the bed squeaks, and the room has a stale smell.     The location is great and in the heart of Buenos Aires. As a Titanium BonVoy member, I was upgraded to a large room, which was good but dated. The pool area is very nice. However, the hotel was once a grand hotel, but it's lost its luster. The M Club was a resounding disappointment! The selection was sparse and they consistently ran out of items, which was disappointing since I selected this property to have a nice lounge on vacation. I addressed my concerns with the staff but nobody seemed to care or was interested. This Marriott does not give you the option to have breakfast in the restaurant, like other Marriott's for high status members. The shower was a mess because the floor doesn't tilt toward the drain. Some of the room decor is old and tired.     This is by far the worst Marriott I have stayed in over the past 50 years. The rooms are small with no drawers. The TV is on a wall on the side of the bed so you need to be on your side to watch tv. The halls have some type of cleaner smell. There is no concierge. On the plus side the breakfast was adequate but crowded with tours from around the world and the staff was friendly. You should be able to do better in Buenos Aires.
